Neat and Tangled – Sentiments

Hello crafty friends, TGIF!
I am on the Neat and Tangled blog today sharing 2 cards I made with my favourite sentiment stamps from Neat and Tangled.

My first card here:

For my first card today, I made my own pattern background with the small flowers from the set. 1)I randomly stamped flowers on the purple cardstock using VersaMark Embossing ink and clear heat embossed. 2)For the sentiment panel, I stamped this beautiful handwritten sentiment with VersaMark Embossing ink, gold heat embossed. I then used distress inks –Mustard Seed, Dried Marigold, Picked Raspberry– to add colour the around the sentiment. 3)I mounted the sentiment panel on the card using dimensional foam tape. 4)Machine stitches and some sequins were the finishing touches.

And another card from me:

Like the first card, I made my own pattern background with the small flowers from Dala Horse stamp set. 1)I stamped the small flowers on the watercolour panel using grey pigment ink here and there. Once dry, I coloured the centre of the stamped panel with Peerless watercolours. 2)For the sentiment, I stamped it with VersaMark Embossing ink, heat embossed with Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder and then fussy cut it. 3)I mounted the stamped panel on the lime green cardstock first and then affixed the sentiment in the middle of the stamped panel using dimensional foam tape. 4)Mixed enamel dots were the finishing touches.

SSS Hop To It – Cross

Hello crafty friends, happy Wednesday!
EASTER! Easter is almost amongst us!! So, today I made Easter cards with Simon Says Stamps Hop To It products again.

My first card here:
YoonsunHur-20150325-SSSHopToIt01As I mentioned before, I love SSS Cross die so much!

To create the card:
1)For the Cross: I sponged on the white cardstock with Distress ink Vintage Photo using blending tool and stamped Hero Arts Woodgrain Background on the inked panel using Distress ink Walnut Stain and die cut the Cross from the stamped paper. 2)I stamped Artful Flowers on the watercolour panel using VersaMark Embossing ink and white heat embossed at the top and bottom side of the panel. 3)I coloured the flowers with Distress markers using detailed waterbrush –Salty Ocean, Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers, Broken China, and Mustard Seed. 4)I die cut the bottom side of the coloured panel using Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders 2 Dies and layered with blue & wood stamped paper together. 5)I mounted the Cross in the middle of the panel using dimensional foam tape and added some clear sequins for finishing touches.

My second card here:

I used Grid Stencil for my own background -I am so in love with this stencil!! 1)I layered grid stencil over the watercolour panel and blended with Distress inks in rainbow order using blending tool –Festive Berries, Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade, Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers, Faded Jeans, and Seedless Preserves– and then added some water droplets on the background. 2)Once dry, I cut 2 part from the coloured background and put sentiment panel between them -I used Hand Lettered Encouragement stamp set for the sentiment. There are lots of great encouraging sentiments in this set. 3)To finish it off, I die cut the small sized cross from the white cardstock and affixed it right up on the sentiment panel using dimensional foam tape and added some clear sequins.

Flower garden

Today I’m popping in to share my card for entering Hero Arts Nature Challenge!

Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20150320-01Some of my crafty friends may know that I love watercolouring and flowers!! Hero Arts Flower Garden Stamp set is so very beautiful and I couldn’t resist making card with watercolours! I love subtle watercolouring technique as much as no-line colouring.

To create the card, 1)I positioned flower stamps upper side of the watercolour panel and mounted the entire design on a large stamp press. 2)I stamped them using VersaMark Embossing ink and white heat embossed. I repeated it bottom side of the panel. 3)I applied clean water the embossed panel using a wide brush first and then coloured around the embossed images with Distress ink Picked Raspberry, Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade, and Mustard Seed. 4)For the sentiment, I stamped it from Hero Arts Night and Day Flowers using VersaMark Embossing ink and gold heat embossed. 5)I added Zig wink of Stella clear over the coloured panel. 6)Mixed clear sequins were the finishing touches.

Your Own Cactus!

Hello crafty friends!
Today I want to show you my another cactus card for entering Hero Arts Nature Challenge!
nature-challengeI love watercolouring and Hero Arts newly released Your Own Cactus Stamp set so much!

Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20150311-01OH YES! I am crazy about no-line watercolouring! It is SO fun!!

To create this card, 1)I stamped cacti & pots on the watercolour paper panel using Distress Ink Antique Linen. I used post-it note to mask stamped images to stamp cacti overlapping. 2)Colouring!! I coloured stamped images with Distress markers using Detailer Waterbrush –cacti: Mowed Lawn, Peeled Paint, Evergreen Bough, Pine Needles, Forest Moss / cactus flowers: Barn Door, Aged Mahogany / pots: Vintage Photo, Gathered Twigs, Rusty Hinge / floor: Pumice Stone. 3)For the sentiment: I stamped it with Distress Ink Vintage Photo and smudged it with fresh water. 4)Sparkly clear sequins were the finishing touches.
