MFT August Release Countdown – Day 1

Welcome to the My Favorite Things August Release Countdown Day 1. We’ve reached the final day of the countdown!!

Today I am sharing with you my cards with Miss Tiina’s Bionic Bots Stamp & Die-namics.YoonsunHur-20150804-MFTAugustRC-Day1-01 Boy or masculine card is too difficult for me to make before. BUT I don’t need to worry about it now because I have Bionic Bots Stamp Set! Woo hoo!!

To create the card, I 1) Die cut Bionic Bots from stamping mask paper using Bionic Bots Die-namics. 2) Positioned the mask die cuts on the white panel, adhered them in place. 3) Inked on the panel with Grout Gray dye ink using mini blending tool. 4) Removed the masks and stamped Bionic Bots using Black Licorice hybrid ink, coloured them with Copic markers.

YoonsunHur-20150804-MFTAugustRC-Day1-03For my second card, I used the same masking technique with my first card but different theme! These love bots are talking about their sweet memories lol!

MFT August Release Countdown – Day 2

Hello crafty friends, I hope you had a wonderful weekend!
Welcome to the My Favorite Things August Release Countdown Day 2.

Today I’m sharing some really fun and easy to make, watercolour card!
YoonsunHur-20150803-MFTAugustRC-Day2-01 I just love the messy watercolouring because it looks a bit more artsy!

To create the card, I 1) Stamped the outline images from the Blissful Blooms Stamp Set onto the watercolour panel using black pigment ink. 2) Painted randomly around the images with Peerless watercolours using a waterbrush. 3) Stamped the sentiment from the Encouraging Words Stamp Set on the watercolour paper using Black Licorice hybrid ink, trimmed it with Cross-Stitch Square STAX Die-namics and then heat embossed the edge of the sentiment banner with gold embossing powder. 4) Embellished with natural twine. YoonsunHur-20150803-MFTAugustRC-Day2-03For my second card, I used Birds of Paradise Stamp Set. I 1) Stamped randomly bird images onto the watercolour panel using Black Licorice hybrid ink, trimmed it with Blueprints 25 Die-namics. 2) Stamped the largest bird image from the Birds of Paradise Stamp Set on the watercolour paper using Black Licorice hybrid ink, coloured it with Copic and then die cut it with Birds of Paradise Die-namics. 3) Made the circle window to the centre of the stamped panel, added mixed sequins inside the window and then adhered red pierced circle frame at the front of the window.

MFT August Release Countdown – Day 5

Every month, MFT releases fabulous products, and this time was no exception!! You can enjoy (and of course, have) lots of gorgeous and fun stuff from this month!

Today I am sharing with you my floral cards with so beautiful Scribble Roses Stamp & Overlay Die-namics.YoonsunHur-20150731-MFTAugustRC-Day5-01My first card is watercoloured flower card. I 1) Stamped the solid flower images on the watercolour panel with Wild Cherry, Lemon Drop, Tickled Pink dye inks, the solid leaves with Sour Apple, Summer Splash, Spearmint dye inks and then brushed them using waterbrush. 2) Stamped the outlined flowers with Safety Orange, Red Hot dye inks. 3) Die cut Scribble Roses Overlay from the white card stock, positioned them over the stamped images and then adhered them. 4) Stamped the sentiment from the Encouraging Words Stamp Set using black pigment ink. 5) Mounted the stamped panel to the white card base, embellished with clear sequins.YoonsunHur-20150731-MFTAugustRC-Day5-02
YoonsunHur-20150731-MFTAugustRC-Day5-03For my second card, I used Scribble Roses Overlay Die-namics as my main supply.

1) For my own watercolour background, I coloured on the watercolour panel with Red Hot, Bubblegum, Orange Fizz, Lemon Drop dye inks using a wet paintbrush and then added white ink splatters. I then trimmed it with Blueprints 25 Die-namics. 2) I die cut the roses from the white card stock using Scribble Roses Overlay Die-namics. 3) The watercoloured panel dry completely, I positioned the rose die cuts over the panel, added machine stitches. 4) For the sentiment, I stamped it from For the Boys Stamp Set on the black card stock using embossing ink, white heat embossed and then trimmed it. 5) To finish it off, I embellished with enamel dots.YoonsunHur-20150731-MFTAugustRC-Day5-04

MFT Summer School Session 2 – Complementary

Hello crafty friends, welcome back to MFT Summer School!
In MFT summer school session 2, we are dealing with color theory. The topic of the day is ‘Complementary‘.

Complementary colours are any two colours which are directly opposite each other, such as red & green, orange & blue, purple & yellow. These opposing colours create maximum contrast and maximum stability.

For my first card, I take purple & yellow colour palettes.

To create the card, 1)I stamped Roses All Over Background on the white card stock using Pure Plum dye ink. 2)I die cut butterflies from vellum paper using Flutter of Butterflies Solid Die-namics, from Daffodil card stock using Flutter of Butterflies Lace Die-namics. 3)I die cut ‘Wish’ from Pure Plum card stock using Stars & Wishes Die-namics. 4)I mounted all elements as shown to the Daffodil card stock, added some clear sequins.

For my second card, I take blue & orange colour palettes.

Blue and orange colour combination wasn’t familiar with me before but, I realised these two colours can make a really cool card!!

To create the card, 1)I stamped Tiny Stars Background on the white card stock using Coral Crush hybrid ink, die cut the left edge using Blueprints 25 Die-namics. 2)I die cut ‘happy’ from Orange Zest card stock, ‘birthday’ from After Midnight card stock using Arrow Greetings Die-namics. I also die cut the balloons from Orange Zest, After Midnight card stocks using Birthday Balloons Die-namics. 3)To finish it off, I mounted all elements as shown to the stamped panel.

TCC #38 – Watercolored Anemones

Happy Wednesday everyone! Here we are again with a new challenge at The Card Concept!

Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20150624-Wplus9I was inspired by the beautiful colours!

To create the card, 1)I stamped Watercolored Anemones onto the watercolour panel with embossing ink, white heat embossed. 2)I then coloured the stamped panel with Distress Ink Wild Honey, Mustard Seed, Squeezed Lemonade using a wet paintbrush. 3)For the sentiment, I die cut ‘Hello’ from the white cardstock using Wplus9 Hand Lettered Hello Die, added silver glitter powder at the bottom of the sentiment die cut.
