Winnie & Walter Leading Lady Take One + Giveaway

Hello crafty friends, happy weekend!
I’m SO excited (and so honoured) to be May’s Leading Lady with Winnie & Walter! Yay, May is one of my favourite months!!

Today I will be sharing with you my watercolor floral background with the In Bloom: Elsa’s Flora & Renee’s Leaves stamp sets.

I started by heat embossing outlined flowers and leaves from two flower stamp sets (In Bloom: Elsa’s Flora & Renee’s Leaves) on watercolor paper in white. I stamped images using Versamark embossing ink, and then heat embossed with white embossing powder.
I then watercolored the stamped background with Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor and a wet flat brush. I applied clean water on the panel first, and then added warm colours. I used (dark to light) No.36 Wine Red, No.32 Red, No.33 Orange, No.43 Mid Yellow.
For the image on the watercoloured panel, I decided not to color. I just stamped an adorable baby elephant from the Welcome to the Family set in black ink, and then die cut it with the Welcome to the Family Cutaways. For the sentiment, I heat embossed “Sending big hugs” from the Big Hugs set on black card stock in white, and then trimmed it out with the Sketchy Thoughts Cutaways.
Once the watercolored panel was completely dry, I trimmed it out with the larger rectangle panel die in the Essentials: Lana Cutaways. Finally, I mounted all elements as shown to top-folded white card base using foam tape.

MFT May Release Countdown – Day 1

Hello crafty friends!
Welcome to the My Favorite Things May Release Countdown Day 1. We’ve reached the final day of the countdown and all of the new products will be available at 9 pm ET today in the MFT store.
My card today features the More Essential Sentiments Stamp Set.
I created a shaker flower card again! The Shaker Flower Die-namics is FAB set!!

To create my shaker, I die cut flower and leaves from glitter card stock using the Shaker Flower Die-namics. I then adhered 2″ Circle Shaker Pouch at the back of the shaker flower die cut using double-sided tape. Inside the shaker is a mixture of sequins (Easy peasy, right?!!). For the sentiment, I heat embossed it from the More Essential Sentiments set on black card stock in white, and then trimmed it out.
The Shaker Flower and the More Essential Sentiments are a match made in heaven!!

SSS Mother’s Day Card

Hello crafty friends, I hope you had a wonderful weekend!
Today I am popping in to share with you my mother’s day card with the SSS Suzy’s In Full Bloom Watercolor Paintable Prints and the Mom and Dad Icons Stamp & Die Set.
I started by colouring beautiful flowers (from the Suzy’s In Full Bloom Watercolor Paintable Prints) with Copic markers, and then fussy cut them. I then adhered flower cluster on the right bottom part of Fog Gray card base using foam tape. I added white ink splatters.
For the sentiment, I stamped the word “MOM” from the Mom and Dad Icons set in black pigment ink, die cut them with the matching dies. I then heat embossed another sentiment on black card stock in white.
A bunch of flowers fit perfectly on the mother’s day card! :)

MFT May Release Countdown – Day 2

SSS Sending Love

Hello again!
(This is my second post of the day, for the MFT May Release Countdown Day 3, click HERE.)
For my second post today, I created a spring flower card with the SSS Sending Flowers stamp set and Forget Me Not Flowers & Friends Of Life die sets.
To create this card, I 1) Die cut a piece of watercolour paper using the Stitches Rectangle die. 2) Stamped flower cluster image from the Sending Flowers set on the panel randomly with some dye inks: Rose Apple, Lemon Zing, Clementine, and Rosie Cheeks (so beautiful colours!!). 3) Watercoloured around stamped areas lightly with Antique Linen Distress ink and a wet paint brush. 4) Die cut flowers and leaves from white & coloured card stock using the Forget Me Not Flowers & Friends Of Life die sets – I used Sunshine, Doll Pink, Green Apple, Mint card stock. 5) Stamped the sentiment from the Hydrangea Blooms set in black pigment ink.
with these two Forget Me Not Flowers & Friends Of Life die sets, we can easily make beautiful petunias!!
