Stamp of Approval Candy Cane Lane Collection

Hello crafty friends!
It’s Time! The SOA Candy Cane Lane Collection is now available in the Stamp of Approval Store!! But before you go, I want you to enjoy my one more Christmas card with this collection :D
yoonsunhur-201609-soa-c001The Peppermint Stick Background Stamp is really GORGEOUS!! I simply heat embossed it onto watercolour paper panel in white, and then coloured it with Festive Berries and Fired Brick Distress inks. For the sentiment panel, I stamped the sentiment from the Merry and Bright Boughs set on white card stock in VersaFine onyx black pigment ink, Christmas candy from the Candy Cane Lane set using some dye inks, trimmed it using the Merry Labels dies. I added red gingham ribbon, natural twine bow, gold jingle bell, and then mounted all elements as shown to A2 top folded white card base using foam tape.

New Mid Month Free with $60 Die-namics
The mid month Free with $60 die is the Merry Christmas Die-namics. It coordinates with the kit and anyone who orders the kit this month will receive the Free with $60.

Here is what I came up with:
yoonsunhur-20160920-mftcardkit-a001For my first card, I used the emboss resist technique, definitely one of my favourite techniques, with the Simply Snowflakes stamp set. I heat embossed the snowflakes on an A2 sized watercolour paper panel in white, ink blended the panel with Peacock Feathers, Mowed Lawn, Faded Jeans, and Twisted Citron Distress inks using mini round blending tool, then added water using a wet paint brush. For the sentiment, I stamped it from the Snowfall of Blessings set on the bottom of the panel using Black Licorice hybrid ink. Once the panel was completely dry, I mounted it on white card base using double-sided tape.

yoonsunhur-20160920-mftcardkit-b001For my second card, I made a shaker card. To start, I die cut the arch window from the stitched white paper panel using the Stitched Arch STAX Die-namics. I then randomly stamped the snowflakes from the Simply Snowflakes set on the window panel using blue and green colours of hybrid ink: Lush Lagoon, Sour Apple, Blu RaspberryLimeade, and Blue Yonder. For the sentiment, I used the Peaceful Words Die-namics in the kit.

Stamp of Approval Candy Cane Lane Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends!
Welcome to day 3 of the Stamp of Approval Candy Cane Lane Collection Blog Hop!
soa-bloghopStamp of Approval is a hand picked, exclusive collection of products that were designed just for the box (the boxes are adorable by the way) that releases quarterly. The products from this collection won’t be available for individual sale until much later this year! The first box
released last year and sold out within hours, so be sure to subscribe to the Wait List so you will be emailed when the collection goes on sale to the WL on September 21st! With the purchase of SOA collections, you get an amazing PDF download for FREE with fabulous projects and step-by-step instructions on how to make the projects with just the contents of the collection!

For my first card, I used so beautiful Merry and Bright Boughs Stamp Set and Merry Labels Dies. With the Merry and Bright Boughs set, you can build your own Christmas wreath but today I just made my own custom stamped background.
yoonsunhur-201609-soa-a001I randomly stamped the boughs, leaves, and berries from the Merry and Bright Boughs set on an A2 sized watercolour paper panel with Christmas colours of Distress ink, and then lightly brushed the stamped images using water brush. Once the panel was completely dry, I die cut the sentiment panel from the centre of the panel using the Merry Labels Dies. I then used the MISTI stamping tool to stamp the sentiment and then inked the edges of the panel with Antique Linen Distress ink using mini round blending tool. I wrapped natural twine on the bottom of the sentiment panel three times, added a bow and silver jingle bell. Lastly I mounted two panels as shown to A2 top folded white card base using foam tape.

yoonsunhur-201609-soa-b001For my second card, I used so cheerful Candy Cane Lane Stamp and Die Set. I stamped the sentiment from the Candy Cane Lane set on the centre of the white paper panel with Versafine onyx black ink first, and then randomly stamped the images around the sentiment area with dye inks. Next, I die cut some stamped images from the panel using the Candy Cane Lane Dies, and then inlaid them in place using foam tape. I mounted the stamped panel on A2 top folded red card base using foam tape.

Clearly Besotted Layered Wreath

Hello crafty friends, happy Sunday!
I have two (kind of) CAS Christmas cards to share with you today using the newly released Clearly Besotted Layered Wreath stamp set.
layered-wreath
yoonsunhur-20160911-cbesotted-a001I simply stamped the leaf wreath, berries, and pine cones from the Layered Wreath set on the centre of square watercolour paper panel using some dye inks first: (Leaf wreath) Mowed Lawn, Evergreen Bough Distress inks and Altenew Forest Glades dye ink / (Berries) Altenew Ruby Red dye ink / (Pine cones) Altenew Dark Chocolate dye ink. I then lightly brushed the wreath using water brush – Distress inks react with water. I wrapped red & white bakers twine on the top of the stamped panel three times, added a bow and silver jingle bell. I then decorated the bottom of the panel with gold foil washi tape. Lastly I mounted the panel on white card base using foam tape, and then embellished with a few PPP 4mm metallic gold sequins.

Here is another CAS card with the Layered Wreath stamp set.
yoonsunhur-20160911-cbesotted-b001I stamped the sentiment from the set on the centre of the watercolour paper panel in black pigment ink first, and then randomly stamped tiny Christmas images all around the panel. For the tiny snowflakes, I used the On Thin Ice stamp set.
yoonsunhur-20160911-cbesotted-bothThat’s it for today. Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful weekend!!
