Altenew – Golden Garden

Hello crafty friends, happy Sunday!
I’m on Altenew’s blog today with my watercoloured flower card using so beautiful Golden Garden stamp set.
YoonsunHur-20160619-Altenew-001To create the card, I 1) Stamped the flowers from the Golden Garden set at the top half of watercolour paper panel using VersaMark embossing ink, then heat embossed in white. 2) Watercoloured them with soft colours of Distress inks: Squeezed Lemonade, Tattered Rose, Victorian Velvet, Worn Lipstick, and Cracked Pistachio. 3) Added some white ink splatters for a more subtle look. 4) Stamped the sentiment & butterfly from the Painted Butterflies set on the panel using Jet Black dye ink. 5) Mounted the panel on an A2 sized white card base using dimensional foam tape.
YoonsunHur-20160619-Altenew-002The Golden Garden is definitely my all-time favorite set :D

Hello crafty friends, happy Wednesday!
I am sharing with you my card for My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge 285.
MFT_WSC_285
Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20160615-MFTWSC285-001When I saw the sketch 285, the ruffled lace came to my mind. To create this card, I 1) Stamped the leaves from the Tropical Flowers set on watercolour paper panel using hybrid inks: Sour Apple, Summer Splash, Gumdrop Green, Limeade, Berrylicious, and Pineapple. 2) Coloured the background of the stamped panel with Antique Linen Distress ink, then added some white & green ink splatters. 3) Die cut the ruffles from the Lemon Chiffon, Cool as a Cucumber, Limelight card stocks and vellum paper using the Fringe Die-namics. 4) Die cut the Flutter of Butterflies Lace from gold glitter paper, the Flutter of Butterflies Solid from vellum paper. 5) Heat embossed the “HELLO” sentiment from the Hog Heaven set on the Summer Splash card stock in white and then trimmed it with the stitched banner in the Blueprints 29 Die-namics. 6) Mounted all elements as shown to an A2 sized white card base using double-sided tape.

SSS Thinking of You

Hello crafty friends, happy weekend!
Today I want to share with you my floral card with SSS Wild Beauty stamp set I designed. I’ll never get tired of creating something with flowers and I hope you feel the same.
YoonsunHur-20160514-SSS001For my card today, I made my own floral pattern. First, I randomly stamped the flowers and leaves from Wild Beauty set on watercolour paper panel using VersaMark Embossing ink, heat embossed with Hero Arts White embossing powder. I then coloured the background with Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor using a wide flat brush – I used No.32 (red), 43 (yellow), 50 (blue). Next, I die cut the butterflies from white card stock using SSS Leanna Butterfly die, then white heat embossed the sentiment from Prayers set on black card stock. I mounted all elements as shown to A2 white card base using dimensional foam tape. To finish it off, I embellished with a few PPP clear sequins.

MFT WSC 276

Hello crafty friends, happy Wednesday!
Today I want to share with you my card for My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge 276.
MFT_WSC_276
Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20160413-MFTWSC276-001In spring, we can see many beautiful flowers and butterflies and those beautiful creatures always make me smile! So I created a happy spring card. First off I stamped the flowers from Build-able Bouquet set onto watercolour paper panel using VersaMark Embossing ink, heat embossed with white embossing powder. I then blended the panel with several colours of Distress ink – I used Festive Berries, Worn LipstickMustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers, Stormy Sky, and Seedless Preserves Distress inks – in rainbow order using mini blending tool and then added a bit of water. After the panel has dried completely, I added cross stitching at both top and bottom edges of the panel using Basic Stitch Lines Die-namics. I stamped the butterfly from Fly-By Friends set on a separate watercolour paper with Black Licorice hybrid ink, simply coloured it with Festive Berries Distress ink, then die cut it with Fly-By Friends Die-namics. For the sentiment, I die cut the curved banner from black card stock using Blueprints 28 Die-namics, then stamped the sentiment on it with embossing ink, white heat embossed. Finally I mounted all elements as shown to A2 white card base using dimensional foam tape, then embellished with a few PPP clear sequins.
