SSS STAMPtember® – Layered Flowers

Hello crafty friends, I hope you had a great weekend!
exclusiveheros_altnewToday I want to share with you the card I’ve made using so very beautiful STAMPtember® Altenew collaboration Layered Flowers stamp set.
SSS-Stamptember-AltenewAltenew layered flower stamps look very much like real flowers and this time was no exception!!

Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20150928-SSS-Stamptember01To create the card, I 1) Stamped the layering flowers from the Layered Flowers stamp set on the watercolour panel using several colours of Distress inks – Red flower: Festive Berries, Fired Brick, Aged Mahogany / Yellow flower: Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade / Leaves: Crushed Olive, Mowed Lawn. 2) Spritzed the stamped panel with Ranger Perfect Pearls Mist. 3) Stamped ‘Thanks’ from the Thanks For Being There stamp set on the white card stock using black pigment ink and then fussy cut it. 4) Mounted all elements as shown to the SSS Soft Navy card stock.

TCC #34 – Pretty Paper Packaging

Happy Wednesday everyone! Here we are again with a new challenge at The Card Concept!

Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20150429-Altenew-01When I saw the inspirational picture,  I instantly grabbed Altenew Vintage Roses Stamp Set -beyond any doubt! I was inspired by the colours and beautiful rose tag.

For my card today, 1)I applied masking tape to the watercolour panel to create a vertical stripes -ensure that no ink will seep under the mask. I then sponged onto the panel with Distress ink Peacock Feathers using blending tool, added some water droplets, pearl white ink splatters. 2)For the focal point, I stamped roses & leaves from Altenew Vintage Roses Stamp Set with MFT Hybrid Inks -Roses: Pink Lemonade, Cotton Candy, Razzle Berry, Red Hot / Leaves: Lemon Drop, Sno Cone, Spearmint, Berrylicious, Gumdrop Green, Summer Splash, Tropical Teal. When the stamped image dry I fussy cut, mounted it on the stripe pattern panel using dimensional foam tape. 3)Mixed clear sequins were the finishing touches.

TCC #33 – Bold colours

Happy Wednesday everyone! Here we are again with a new challenge at The Card Concept!

Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20150415-TCC33-01Black and neon pink is one of my favourite colour combo!

To create my card, I used the largest flower from Penny Black Floral Applique Stamp Set as a focal point. 1)For the neon pink chevron background, I used Memorybox Chic Chevron Stencil. I placed the stencil over the watercolour panel and ink some part of the open areas using Distress Ink Picked Raspberry and sponge dauber. And then I added some water droplets and black ink splatters. 2)I stamped the flower with black pigment ink, clear heat embossed and then fussy cut it. 3)To finish it off, I mounted the flower, the sentiment label on the card using dimensional foam tape and added mixed clear sequins.

TCC #26 – One Year Anniversary Celebration

Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope you have had a wonderful festive break and a fantastic beginning to 2015.

It is nice to be back again! I am so honoured to be a part of The Card Concept as a permanent member. Thanks Lesley, for getting me involved in this Oh-So-Talented team!! From now on, I will share my card with you in the Mixed Media category :D

26-One Year CelebrationWow! One year of challenges already! This week we are hoping this picture inspires you to celebrate our One Year Anniversary with us! Feel free to use any of the styles of our team or better yet, share you own style by combining one or more of the styles. We want you to have fun and make a card in a style that you feel good about!

Here is what I came up with:
20150108-TCC-01Whenever I see the beautiful flowers, I can’t resist using watercolour mediums lol!

My card today, I used Hero Arts Watercolor Wheel, Distress inks as my watercolour mediums. I positioned all I want to use stamps from Wplus9 Coming Up Roses Stamps on the watercolour paper first. I then stamped using water based distress inks and coloured them using watercolour brush. For sentiment, I stamped ‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY’ among Altenew Label Love Stamps using VersaFine Pigment ink Onyx Black and then heat embossed it in clear. White threads under the sentiment banner to finish the card.

Paper Crafts Scrapbooking Magazine Blog Hop

pcsbadge1Hello folks, many of you already knew that Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking Magazine is shutting its doors… I was deeply saddened when I heard this news… because PC&S gave me lots of awesome crafty friends through Gallery Idol and helped me open my eyes into the world of craft. While I am still sad, I believe it will turn into a brighter future for everyone :D

Taheerah and Veronica held the fabulous Blog Hop to thank PC&S for everything they’ve done for us. If you’re hopping along you should have reached me from Shelly Kurth and the next stop on the hop is Maureen Plut.

Honestly, I was a bit hesitant when deciding to participate in this blog hop. I’ve never joined CHA and don’t have much experience in this industry. I thought I was unworthy in taking part of this blog hop. Hmm… I just prayed for the PC&S magazine team. However, suddenly one bible script came to my mind. 20141203-01-01Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives.
