Altenew – Floral Cards

Hello crafty friends!
Today I want to share with you a couple of floral cards that I’ve made using the Altenew Painted Flowers – it’s my all time favourite – stamp set. And I especially used the newly released Altenew crisp dye inks, Glacier Caves Oval and Red Sunset Oval sets, along with it.
YoonsunHur-20160425-Altenew-001For my first card, I stamped the flowers with the Glacier Caves Oval set. First, I randomly stamped the solid images from Painted Flowers set onto white paper panel using Caribbean Sky dye ink, then the outlined images in Persian Blue dye ink. I then stamped the outlined leaves with Sapphire, the darkest blue, dye ink. For the sentiment, I used the Label Love stamp set.
YoonsunHur-20160425-Altenew-002For my second card, I made the same way but used different colours. I used the Red Sunset Oval set. First, I stamped the solid images with Rouge dye ink, then outlined flowers with Velvet dye ink. I stamped the outlined leaves with Crimson dye ink – it’s so red – along with Lava Rock & Moon Rock grey dye inks.

I randomly stamped the flowers and leaves on the white Stitches Square panel using Altenew dye inks and then mounted the “Prayers” die cut on the stamped panel same as my first card.
YoonsunHur-20160125-SSS003For the roses background, I used Best Mom Ever and Lovely Spring stamp sets.

PPP / Altenew Collaboration Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends and welcome to the Pretty Pink Posh & Altenew collaboration blog hop! You should have arrived from amazingly talented Anna Kossakovskaya.
Banner-PPP-Altenew-CollaboI am so excited to be in this awesome collaboration. I had so much fun playing with those unique and stylish designs by Altenew for today’s project!!

YoonsunHur-20151023-PPP-Altenew-A01For my first card, I made a loose watercolour card. First I 1) Stamped the images from the Altenew Garden Grow stamp set onto watercolour paper panel using black pigment ink, then loosely coloured them with Distress markers using waterbrush and then brushed all images over with Clear Zig Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. 2) Die cut the bottom part of the watercolour panel with PPP Pocket Border Die, then inked it with Fired Brick Distress Ink using mini blending tool. 3) Stamped the sentiment from the Altenew Label Love stamp set on white card stock using black ink, fussy cut it. 4) Mounted all elements as shown to white card base using double-sided tape. 5) Embellished with several colours of 4mm sequins.

YoonsunHur-20151023-PPP-Altenew-B01For my second card, I used Altenew Golden Garden stamp set with PPP Stitched Borders 2 Dies. For my own watercolour floral panel, I stamped the flowers and leaves on watercolour paper panel using embossing ink, heat embossed with gold embossing powder, then loosely coloured them with Distress markers. I die cut Stitched Scalloped Border out of scraps of coloured card stock, mounted them on the bottom side of watercolour panel using double-sided tape, then tied it with a natural twine. To finish it off, I embellished with a few clear sequins.

Virginia’s View Challenge – All Things Colored

Hello crafty friends!
I am so delighted (and excited!) to be a guest designer on Virginia’s View challenge blog today, with Kathy Racoosin. I am so honoured to be there with Kathy! I can’t believe it’s real!

Virginia’s View is definitely one of the most famous challenges, and I know that there are tons of sweet fans out there (and of course, I am one of them).

I hope you enjoy my post today. Have a good read!
VirginiaViewBannerToday is all about COLOUR! I believe that flowers are the best way to show all the colours of the rainbow. In additions, the layered petals of flowers are perfect for expressing different colours on one spot.

YoonsunHur-VirginiaView-ATo create the card, I 1) Stamped layered flowers and leaves on watercolour paper panel using several colours of Distress inks (Red flowers: Festive Berries, Fired Brick, Aged Mahogany / Pink flowers: Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry / Yellow flowers: Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade / Leaves: Crushed Olive, Mowed Lawn). 2) Stamped the sentiment at the centre of that using VersaMark embossing ink, gold heat embossed. 3) Coloured loosely around the flowers with Broken China Distress ink using waterbrush. 4) Spritzed with a Perfect Pearls Mist over the flowers. 5) Tied the bottom of the stamped panel using natural twine. 6) Mounted the panel on white card base using double-sided tape and then embellished with a few PPP clear sequins.
YoonsunHur-VirginiaView-A02
YoonsunHur-VirginiaView-BHow did I make my second card? Well, it was no different to the way I made it the first card. But this time, I used cool colours instead of warm colours. I stamped the first layer of these blue flowers with SSS Lake shores hybrid ink, second layer with Audrey Blue dye ink and then the last layer with Blue Jay hybrid ink. For the leaves, I stamped the first layer with SSS Jellybean, second layer with Scuba and the last layer with Blue Jay hybrid inks.
