Altenew – Thinking of YOU

Hello crafty friends, TGIF!
I’m on the Altenew blog today with my watercolour flower card using the Altenew Spring Daisy stamp set.
YoonsunHur-20160826-Altenew-001To start, I stamped the flowers and leaves from the Spring Daisy set on an A2 sized watercolour paper panel with VersaFine Onyx Black – I used Post-It Notes to mask stamped images. I then coloured a floral cluster with Distress inks and paint brush: (Red) Festive Berries & Wild Honey / (Yellow) Wild Honey & Mustard Seed / (Leaves) Mowed Lawn. Once the panel was dry, I stamped the sentiment from the Thinking of You set on the panel in Jet Black dye ink. I decorated the bottom of the panel with a thin black diagonal stripe washi tape, and then mounted it on an A2 size top folded white card base using double-sided tape. To finish it off, I embellished with a few PPP clear droplets.

Altenew – Coffee Love

Hello crafty friends, happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend!!
I’m on the Altenew blog today with my cards using the Altenew Coffee Love stamp set. Crafting and Coffee, they are truly inseparable, right?!
YoonsunHur-20160822-Altenew-A001To create the card, I combined three Altenew stamp sets: Coffee Love, Watercolor Wonders, and Sentiments & Quotes sets. First, I stamped the flowers and leaves from the Watercolor Wonders set on cold press watercolour paper panel in Distress inks, and then added a bit of water using waterbrush. Next, I stamped the coffee maker & mug from the Coffee Love set on a separate watercolour paper with VersaFine Pigment Ink Vintage Sepia, added a bit of brown and red colours, and then fussy cut them. I mounted the floral background panel on an A2 sized white card base using double-sided tape first, and then added the coffee maker and mug cuts on the bottom right hand corner of the card front using foam tape. For the sentiment, I stamped it from the Sentiments & Quotes set in Jet Black dye ink.

YoonsunHur-20160822-Altenew-B001Here is another card with the Coffee Love stamp set. First, I stamped the sentiment and coffee beans from the set on the Spicy Yogurt card base using dye inks (sentiment in Jet Black, coffee beans in Dark Chocolate). Next, I randomly stamped the coffee maker, cups, and beans onto watercolour paper panel using embossing ink and then white heat embossed. I then ink blended on it with Wild Honey and Vintage Photo Distress inks using mini ink blending tool, added water droplets. Once the blended panel was completely dry, I cut off the bottom edge using speech bubble edge die, and then mounted it on the Spicy Yogurt card front using foam tape.

Clearly Besotted English Rose

Hello crafty friends, TGIF!!
Today I want to share with you my flower card using the newly released Clearly Besotted English Rose stamp set.
CBesotted-EnglishRoseThe set is so beautiful! I think it will be one of my all time favourite stamp sets!!

Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20160812-CBesotted-001I used the Mini MISTI stamping tool to stamp layered roses & leaves exactly where I want. I stamped the roses & leaves from the set onto watercolour paper panel using Altenew dye inks:
3 of larger red roses: Ruby Red & Dark Chocolate (darker shade)
2 of brighter red roses: Crimson & Velvet (darker shade)
Leaves: Forest Glades & Evergreen (darker shade)
Once the stamped panel was dry, I lightly coloured the roses with Tattered Rose Distress ink, the leaves with Twisted Citron Distress ink. I then coloured around the roses with Tumbled Glass Distress ink and a wet paint brush. I added red ink splatters over the panel. For the sentiment, I stamped it from the To You With Love set on the bottom part of the panel in VersaFine Onyx Black, and then heat embossed it in clear. Finally, I mounted the panel on an A2 sized white card base using double-sided tape, and then added clear droplets over the roses using Glossy Accents.YoonsunHur-20160812-CBesotted-003YoonsunHur-20160812-CBesotted-002Thank you so much for stopping by. Altenew July Release Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends, TGIF!!
Welcome to the Altenew July Product Release Blog Hop! You should have arrived from so amazing Lydia Evans!!
Altenew-July2016-ReleaseBlogHop-Banner
Today I want to share a couple of watercolour cards that I’ve made using the Celebrations stamp set.
YoonsunHur-20160729-Altenew-A01For my first card, I used the masking stamping technique to make stacks of rainbow macaroons!! I stamped the macaroons from the Celebrations set on watercolour paper panel in VersaFine Pigment Ink Onyx Black, and then watercoloured them with Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor. I mounted the panel on an A2 sized white card base using double-sided tape first, and then added the sentiment banner on the card front using dimensional foam tape.

YoonsunHur-20160729-Altenew-B01For my second card, I used the rose image from the Celebrations stamp set. I simply stamped the rose along with the sentiment on watercolour paper panel in black pigment ink, then coloured the roses with Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor. I added black ink splatters. Once the panel was dry, I mounted it on kraft card base using dimensional foam tape.

Your next stop on the hop is super talented Yana!! We hope you have all enjoyed our fun and inspirational blog hop!

Altenew – YOU INSPIRE ME

Hello crafty friends, TGIF!
I’m on the Altenew blog today with my nature themed card using the Altenew Beautiful Day & Peony Bouquet stamp sets.
YoonsunHur-20160708-Altenew-001To create this card, I used the Beautiful Day stamp set for the leaves and the Peony Bouquet set for the red fruits – I think the combination of the two sets worked well! I 1) Stamped the layered leaves on an A2 sized watercolour paper panel with the Altenew Green Fields dye ink pack: (from the darker) Evergreen, Forest Glades, and Frayed Leaf. 2) Stamped the fruits from the Peony Bouquet set on the stamped panel with Ruby Red & Dark Chocolate dye inks. 3) Watercoloured around the stamped areas loosely with several Distress inks using a wet paint brush: Festive Berries, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, and Mowed Lawn. 4) Mounted the panel on an A2 sized white card base using double-sided tape. 5) Added the sentiment banner on the bottom side of the card using dimensional foam tape – I used the Painted Butterflies stamp set for the sentiment. 6) Applied Glossy Accents on the red fruits and then added water droplets on the leaves.
