Altenew: Thanks

Hello crafty friends, happy weekend!
I’m up on the Altenew blog with my floral “Thanks” card using the Amazing You stamp set and Script Words 2 die set.
I started by stamping flowers and leaves from the Altenew Amazing You set on white paper panel in black dye ink. I then coloured the stamped images with the Altenew Artist Markers & Copic markers. I added tiny black dots between images using Copic multiliner. For the sentiment, I die cut the word “Thanks” from metallic gold card stock using the Altenew Script Words 2 dies five times, glued them together using fine tip glue pen. I mounted the floral panel on white card base using Altenew glue tape first, and then added the sentiment die cut on the card front using foam tape. I added water droplets using Glossy Accents.

Altenew August 2017 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello crafty friends, happy Wednesday!
Welcome to the first day of the Altenew August 2017 Release Blog Hop!! We have 13 brand new stamp sets, 12 new dies, and medium & large storage pouches in August! If you arrived here from Kymona Tracey’s blog you are on the right track!

For my first and second card, I used the Thick and Thin Alpha and the Charmed stamp sets along with the Painted Butterflies stamp set.
I stamped my own sentiment “Save the date!” from the Thick and Thin Alpha set on the centre of watercolour panel in black pigment ink, and then outlined flowers (from the Charmed set) and butterflies (from the Painted Butterflies set) around the sentiment area in black ink as well. I loosely coloured the stamped images with Distress inks and a wet paint brush. Once the panel was dry, I mounted it on white card base using glue tape first, and then added water droplets using Glossy Accents.
In my second card, I stamped the word “Praying for you” from the Thick and Thin Alpha set on watercolour panel in black pigment ink, and then outlined flowers (from the Charmed set) and butterflies (from the Painted Butterflies set) around the sentiment area in black ink as well. I chose blue, green, and yellow Distress inks for watercolouring.

For my third card, I used the Circled Sentiments stamp set. I stamped 6 circled sentiments on watercolour panel in black pigment ink, and then roughly coloured around the stamped images with Distress inks in rainbow order. I added some ink splatters, then mounted the panel on navy card base using foam tape.

For my last card, I used the 3D Star die! I created a galaxy background using Distress inks first. I ink blended the panel with Faded Jeans, Seedless Preserves, and Black Soot Distress inks, then added metallic silver & opaque white ink splatters on the blended panel. I then die cut the 3D Star from watercolour paper, lightly coloured on it with Mermaid Lagoon Distress ink and a wet paint brush. Once the background panel was completely dry, I mounted it on white card base using glue tape first, and then added all elements as shown to the card front using foam tape.

Altenew New Day Card Kit Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello crafty friends, TGIF!
Welcome to the Altenew New Day Card Kit Blog Hop!! If you arrived here from Barbara Engler’s blog you are on the right track!

New Day Card Kit:
Thirty four cardstock die cuts
Six 8.5 x 11 inch cardstock (Made in UK)
Forty eight 6×6 inch pattern paper sheets (two of each design)
Two alphabet sticker sheets
12 wood veneer frames
6×8 inch photopolymer clear stamp set (Made in USA)
One gold glitter tape
Frame die, hearts and stars die
Enamel dots and hearts (4×6 inch sheet)

For my first card, it took me 10 minutes to make it! Isn’t that amazing? I didn’t stamp or heat emboss, just used the pattern paper, white rose die cuts, sentiment banner die cut, and enamel dots in the New Day Card Kit. Easy-peasy, right?!

For my second card, I used the Floral Garden stamp set in the card kit. I stamped flowers and butterflies from the Floral Garden set on white panel using several dye inks:
Flowers: Coral Berry & Ruby Red, Orange Cream & Autumn Blaze
Leaves: Bamboo, Parrot, Olive, Moss
Butterflies: Honey Drizzle (Yellow), Ocean Waves (Blue)
I then heat embossed the sentiment on black card stock in white, cut the small banner. Lastly, I mounted the stamped panel on white card base using glue tape first, and then added the sentiment banner using foam tape.

For my last card today, (I think some of you might already see this card on the Altenew blog before) I white heat embossed images from the Floral Garden set on watercolour paper panel and then ink blended on the panel with some Distress inks.

Altenew: Happiness is coming your way

Hello crafty friends!
I’m up on the Altenew blog with my watercolour flower card using the Build-A-Flower: Coral Charm Set.
I started by stamping flowers and leaves from the Altenew Build-A-Flower: Coral Charm set on an A2 sized watercolour paper panel in pigment black ink – I used Post-It Notes for masking flowers. I then watercoloured the stamped images with Peerless watercolors, the background with Pumice Stone Distress ink. I added black ink splatters here and there. Once the panel was dry, I stamped the sentiment in black, and then mounted the panel on white card base using glue tape.
