To my special Mother – OCC SYS2 Day 5

Hello folks, Phew~~ I did my homework of OCC Stretch Your Stamps 2 Day 5.
SYS2_participantI was inspired by one of awesome teachers Shari Carroll’s card.

Here is what I came up with:
20140813-OutlineStamps01I followed Shari’s dimensional paper piecing technique in the OCC Stretch Your Stamps 2 class and I am so happy to have this beautiful Clearly Besotted Fresh Flowers Stamp Set. Yay!! I especially liked the burnishing technique Shari used to make the petals more realistic.

Did you have a wonderful weekend or still enjoying there? I made card with Altenew PAINTED FLOWERS & LABEL LOVE Stamp Sets for Runway inspired challenge #65.

Here is what I came up with:
20140811-01I was inspired by white lace jacket and bright yellow colour. White and yellow colour combination is one of my favourite!

At first, I sponged on the white cardstock in yellow for making background panel. I then layered Martha Stewart Floral Doily Stencils on the vellum paper and dabbed it using white acrylic paint to express white lace jacket :D For my focal image & sentiment, I used two gorgeous Altenew PAINTED FLOWERS & LABEL LOVE Stamp Sets. I love those stamp sets sooooooo~ much!!

OCC SYS 2 DAY 1 – HELLO

Hello folks,
I’m so glad that I participated in Stretch Your Stamps 2 at Online Card Classes. There are full of inspirations!! I strongly recommend it.

Especially I was in awe of Shari Caroll’s hello card. It was so amazing and I was inspired by her.

Here is what I came up with:
20140807-01Unfortunately I didn’t have the featured background stamps but it was totally OK! I used beautiful Hero Arts Everything Flowers Stamp instead of them :D

I applied on the background stamp using Evergreen Bough, Rusty Hinge, Bundled Sage, and Victorian Velvet Distress inks and then spritzed the inked stamp with water using a mini mister. I then stamped the background image on a watercolour paper panel (smooth side). After the stamped panel was completely dried, I spritzed Tsukineko Shimmer Spritz Sparkle a little bit and cut the stamped panel and applied Rusty Hinge ink around the edges of each stamped square. I affixed the squares to a white cardstock panel using foam dots for dimension. I die cutted two “hello” pieces with black paper and adhered the pieces together using a glue pen. Lastly I decorated the vellum die cut butterflies for finishing touch!

The Card Concept #16 – Create a wedding card

Wow.. wow.. wow!! I am so excited to be a part of The Card Concept Wild Card Team!

Inspiration-Photo-16Here is the inspiration photo for The Card Concept #16. Isn’t it beautiful? I love it.

And… here is my first card for the Card Concept Challenge #16 :

My first task is to make a ‘Clean and Graphic’ card. The definition of Clean and Graphic is clean lines, simple treatment of text, no frills, bare boned, and message is communicated quickly. Hmm… honestly, It was quite a challenge to me because I love using many layers and frills LOL!!

I was inspired by the color combinations. Blue, white, and cream colours are so pure and match perfectly with weddings. I made a CAG inlaid die cut card in hope to inspire those who view it.

I die cut on the ivory panel using Spellbinders In’spire Die-Silhouette at first followed by the blue and cream coloured ones. For sentiment, I stamped ‘pure happiness’ in Memento Dye Ink Tuxedo Black.
