Today I’m just popping in to share my fun watercolour card with the Simon Says Stamp summer themed stamp sets.
For today’s card, I used the Summertime Animals & Warm Christmas Wishes stamp sets together. First, I stamped the palm trees from the Warm Christmas Wishes set, pineapples from the Summertime Animals set on an A2 sized watercolour paper panel in VersaFine Pigment Ink Onyx Black using the Mini MISTI stamping tool. I then stamped the sentiments & tiny images from the Uplifting Thoughts set on the centre of the panel in VersaFine Onyx Black as well. Next, I coloured the images with Derwent inktense colored pencils – I coloured with the pencils first, and then dabbed them with the waterbrush. For the background, I coloured around the sentiment areas with Distress inks using a wet paint brush: Squeezed Lemonade, Mowed Lawn, and Peacock Feathers. Once the panel was dry, I mounted it on white card base using double-sided tape first, and then added the stamped sun images using dimensional foam tape.

I’m on the Altenew blog today with my nature themed card using the Altenew Beautiful Day & Peony Bouquet stamp sets.
To create this card, I used the Beautiful Day stamp set for the leaves and the Peony Bouquet set for the red fruits – I think the combination of the two sets worked well! I 1) Stamped the layered leaves on an A2 sized watercolour paper panel with the Altenew Green Fields dye ink pack: (from the darker) Evergreen, Forest Glades, and Frayed Leaf. 2) Stamped the fruits from the Peony Bouquet set on the stamped panel with Ruby Red & Dark Chocolate dye inks. 3) Watercoloured around the stamped areas loosely with several Distress inks using a wet paint brush: Festive Berries, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, and Mowed Lawn. 4) Mounted the panel on an A2 sized white card base using double-sided tape. 5) Added the sentiment banner on the bottom side of the card using dimensional foam tape – I used the Painted Butterflies stamp set for the sentiment. 6) Applied Glossy Accents on the red fruits and then added water droplets on the leaves.

Today I want to share with you my card with the newly released Clearly Besotted Tickle My Fancy stamp set – The lined & solid feather images are truly gorgeous!!
Here is what I came up with:
To start, I randomly stamped the feathers from the Tickle My Fancy set on watercolour paper panel using VersaMark embossing ink, then heat embossed with Hero Arts clear embossing powder. Next, I ink blended on the panel with Distress inks using mini ink blending tool: Festive Berries, Wild Honey, Worn Lipstick, Tea Dye, and Twisted Citron. And then I spritzed the ink blended panel with water using a Mini Mister, added Perfect Pearls Mist & red ink splatters. I stamped the feathers on white card stock using the Altenew Caramel Toffee & Grapevine dye inks, then fussy cut them. Once the panel was dry, I die cut verticals of small holes from the left side of the panel using circles border die in the MFT Blueprints 25 Die-namics, then decorated with the stamped feather cuts and natural white twine. I taped red washi tape on the left side of the card first, and then mounted the panel using dimensional foam tape.

Welcome to the My Favorite Things new product launch! Yay, it’s Time!! All of the new products we’ve been sharing all week are officially available in the MFT Store now!
My card features the Stitched Banner Alphabet & Numbers Die-namics along with other new products.
To create the card, I die cut the Stitched Banner Alphabets from watercolour paper, then ink blended them with Peacock Feathers (blue) and Twisted Citron (green) Distress inks using mini ink blending tool. I also die cut the Stitched Banner Numbers from the Pineapple Prestige card stock. Next, I stamped the dinosaurs & palm tree, You’re Rawr-some set, and balloons, Beary Special Birthday set, on an A2 sized watercolour paper panel in black pigment ink, then watercoloured them with Peerless watercolors. For the party hats, I stamped them from the Beary Special Birthday set in black, coloured them with Peerless watercolors, then die cut them with the Beary Special Birthday Die-namics. Once the panel was dry, I mounted it on an A2 sized white card base using double-sided tape first, and then added the stitched banners, party hats, and sentiment banner on the front of the card using dimensional foam tape. To finish it off, I embellished with a few PPP clear sequins & droplet.
