Clearly Besotted – Happily ever after

Hello crafty friends, are you having fun with the Clearly Besotted May Release? Of course I AM!!!
YoonsunHur-20160505-CB-001My today’s card, I used the new Mr & Mrs Hoot and To You With Love stamp sets. Oh, this newly wedded couple!! How do you not love them?!

To create the card, I masked off the flowers and clustered them together at the bottom of the watercolour paper panel. I stamped the hoot couple & sentiment from Mr & Mrs Hoot set and flowers from To You With Love set with VersaFine Pigment Ink Onyx Black as well. I watercoloured them with Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor, added some opaque white ink splatters. Once dry, I mounted the panel to A2 white card base using double-sided tape.
YoonsunHur-20160505-CB-002And we lived “happily ever after” :D

MFT May Release Countdown – Day 1

Hello crafty friends!
Welcome to the My Favorite Things May Release Countdown Day 1. We’ve reached the final day of the countdown!!
NewReleaseCountdown_Day1My card today featuring the Warm & Fuzzy Friends Stamp Set & Die-namics: it was introduced to you in the March Card Kit.
YoonsunHur-201605-MFTRC-DAY1-001I created a hidden message slider card. I haven’t done many interactive cards before but, it was so much fun!!

First, I die cut a piece of watercolour paper using A2 size stitched rectangle panel in the Blueprints 25 Die-namics, then cut a slider slot vertically on the front of the panel using Surf & Turf Die-namics in the Jungle Friends Card Kit. I stamped the bear, owl, and tent in Black Licorice hybrid ink, watercoloured them – including the night sky – with Peerless watercolors. Next, I stamped the fox from Warm & Fuzzy Friends set on a separate watercolour paper using Black Licorice hybrid ink, coloured it with Peerless watercolors as well, then die cut it with Warm & Fuzzy Friends Die-namics. For the moving part, I adhered slide disc to the back of the fox, also to the front of the hidden message panel – pull up the fox, the recipient can see the message!

SSS You Are My Favorite

Hello crafty friends, happy weekend!
Today I want to share with you a mother’s day card that I made using SSS Sketch Ranunculus & Wild Beauty stamp sets I designed and You Are My Favorite die.
YoonsunHur-20160430-SSS-001For my card today, I was inspired by my amazingly talented friend Wanda Guess (if you want to see her beautiful cards -> click here).
YoonsunHur-20160430-SSS-P01First, I die cut the word “YOU ARE MY FAVORITE” from watercolour paper panel – I used the negative die cut panel and set aside the positive alpha die cuts for another day.
YoonsunHur-20160430-SSS-P02I stamped the outlined flowers and leaves from Sketch Ranunculus and Wild Beauty sets on the die cut panel using VersaMark Embossing ink, then heat embossed with Hero Arts White embossing powder.
YoonsunHur-20160430-SSS-P03 I watercoloured the stamped area with Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor using a flat brush – I used (from the top) No.36 Wine Red, No.32 Red, No.33 Orange, and No.43 Mid Yellow.
YoonsunHur-20160430-SSS-002Lastly, I mounted the watercoloured panel to the top-folded kraft card base using dimensional foam tape, then embellished with a few PPP clear droplets.
YoonsunHur-20160430-SSS-003“Mum, you are my FAVORITE!!”

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful weekend!

Keep smiling and be blessed! God bless you all!

MFT May Release Countdown – Day 5

Hello crafty friends, TGIF!
Welcome to the My Favorite Things May Release Countdown Day 5.
NewReleaseCountdown_Day5Today I am sharing with you my cards created with the new Pretty Posies and Make Yourself at Home stamp set.
YoonsunHur-201605-MFTRC-DAY5-A001I just have to say that I am loving these freehand flowers & leaves! The new set has both solid and outlined images so we could play a variety of styles!!

For my first card, I created my own floral patterns with the Pretty Posies stamp set. First, I die cut a piece of watercolour paper using Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics. I then stamped the flowers and leaves randomly onto the watercolour panel using different colours of hybrid ink:
Red flower: Red Hot (solid image), Paver Red (outlined image)
Yellow flower: Pineapple (solid image), Latte (outlined image)
Pink flower: Cotton Candy (solid image), Razzle Berry (outlined image)
Others: Sour AppleLimeadeLush LagoonGreen-Eyed MonsterBlue YonderGumdrop GreenNightshift Blue
Next, I spritzed a bit of Perfect Pearls Mist all over the stamped panel. Once dry, I mounted the panel to the top-folded Kraft card base using dimensional foam tape. For the sentiment, I used the new Snuggle Bunnies stamp set.

YoonsunHur-201605-MFTRC-DAY5-B001Here’s another card with the Pretty Posies set. Inside the big balloon, I watercoloured the flowers and leaves using Distress inks: I inked images using Distress inks, spritzed the inked stamps with water using a mini mister, stamped them on the watercolour paper, then trimmed the panel with the balloon edge in the Blueprints 26 Die-namics. For these two adorable bunny and teddy, I stamped them from Snuggle Bunnies set on watercolour panel with black pigment ink, then coloured them with Distress markers.
YoonsunHur-201605-MFTRC-DAY5-B002
YoonsunHur-201605-MFTRC-DAY5-C001For my last card today, I used the Make Yourself at Home stamp set. First, I stamped the Roses All Over Background onto the watercolour panel using VersaMark Embossing ink, heat embossed with white embossing powder, then coloured it with Tattered Rose and Antique Linen Distress inks. I stamped the images from Make Yourself at Home set on a separate watercolour paper in Black Licorice hybrid ink, coloured them with Peerless watercolours before die cutting with the matching dies. Lastly I mounted all elements as shown to A2 white card base using dimensional foam tape, then embellished with a few PPP clear sequins.
