yoonsunhur-mft-febcardkit-day3-001I love the new MFT Butterflies, especially the largest one!! So today’s card, I made watercolour butterflies with only the largest image in the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set.
yoonsunhur-mft-febcardkit-day3-002To create this card, I 1) Die cut 4 same shaped butterflies from watercolour paper using the Beautiful Butterflies Die-namics. 2) Stamped outlined image from the Beautiful Butterflies set on each die cut using Distress inks: (Red) Festive Berries & Fired Brick, (Yellow) Mustard Seed & Wild Honey, (Green) Mowed Lawn & Crushed Olive, (Blue) Mermaid Lagoon & Faded Jeans. 3) Brushed the stamped butterflies gently with a wet paint brush – Distress inks work the best as they react so well with water!! 4) Added ink splatters to each butterfly using the same colour. 5) Die cut the rounded rectangle frame from watercolour paper using the Single Stitch Line Rounded Rectangle Frames Die-namics. 6) Stamped the sentiment from the You Give Me Butterflies set in Black Licorice hybrid ink, then fussy cut it. 7) Mounted all elements as shown to A2 watercolour card base using foam tape. 8) Embellished with a few PPP 4mm clear droplets.

Here is what I came up with:
yoonsunhur-mft-febcardkit-day1-001To start, I 1) Die cut a piece of watercolour paper using the Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics. 2) Stamped the butterflies from the Beautiful Butterflies set randomly onto the watercolour paper panel using hybrid inks:
Red: Coral Crush (Base), Red Hot (Accents), Paver Red (Antennae)
Yellow: Pineapple, Latte, Chocolate Brown
Green: Sour Apple, Gumdrop Green, Green-Eyed Monster
Blue: Summer Splash, Blue Yonder, Lush Lagoon
Violet: Wild Wisteria, Grape Jelly, Razzle Berry
3) Watercoloured the background with Peerless watercolors and a wet paint brush. 4) Added some ink splatters (colours and opaque white). 5) Stamped the sentiment from the You Give Me Butterflies set on the bottom right corner in Black Licorice hybrid ink. 6) Mounted the panel on the Primitive White card base using foam tape.

SSS Thanks

Hello crafty friends!
Today I want to share with you my watercolour thanks card with the SSS Bright Blossoms and Thanks word dies.

Here is what I came up with:
yoonsunhur-20170214-sssp02-001There are so many talented crafty friends around me and my card was inspired by Amy Sheffer‘s beautiful layered watercolour background! She is definitely one of my favourite card makers!!

yoonsunhur-20170214-sss-p01I started by creating a layered watercolour background. I die cut a piece of watercolour paper using A2 sized rectangle panel die in the Basic Rectangles die set, then die cut both ends of the panel using the Scallop Stitches dies. I then watercoloured on the bottom part of the panel in warm shades of red and yellow using Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor and a wet paint brush.
yoonsunhur-20170214-sss-p02Next, I die cut the Bright Blossoms from a separate watercolour paper, then coloured the petals with Festive Berries – I used Distress reinker. I die cut the Bright Blossoms from the same watercolour paper once again because I wanted to use white outlined flower cut.

MFT February Release – New Product Launch

Welcome to the My Favorite Things new product launch! All of the new products we’ve been sharing all week are officially available in the MFT Store now!
NewProductLaunchToday I will be sharing with you my watercolour flower card with the Sketched Blooms 2 Stamp Set.

Here is what I came up with:
yoonsunhur-201702-mftrc-npl-001I started by stamping beautiful flowers and leaves from the Sketched Blooms 2 set on A2 watercolour paper panel with lots of hybrid inks (all product links are at the end of this post). I then freely watercoloured on the stamped images with Peerless watercolors and a wet paint brush. For the sentiment, I stamped it from the Friends Furever set on white card stock in Black Licorice hybrid ink, then trimmed it with the Stitched Sentiment Strips Die-namics. Once the watercoloured panel was dry, I mounted it on white card base using double-sided tape first, and then added the sentiment banner using foam tape.

MFT February Release Countdown – Day 4

Welcome to the My Favorite Things February Release Countdown Day 4.
NewReleaseCountdown_Day4Today I will be sharing with you my cards with the Space Explorer Stamp Set and Sketched Blooms 2 Stamp Set along with other goodies.
yoonsunhur-201702-mftrc-day4-b001I started by stamping all images from the Space Explorer set on watercolour paper panel in pigment black ink – I used the Mini MISTI stamping tool. I then coloured them with Peerless watercolors and water brush. I used Faded Jeans Distress ink for the dark blue background. Once the panel was dry, I trimmed it using the Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics, and then mounted it on the Primitive White card base using foam tape. Then I added the sentiment banner and a few 3mm clear sequins.

yoonsunhur-201702-mftrc-day4-a001For my second card, I made a (kind of) CAS floral card. I 1) Die cut a piece of white card stock using stitched rectangle panel die in the Blueprints 25 Die-namics. 2) Stamped flowers from the Sketched Blooms 2 set on the panel using Gravel Gray hybrid ink. 3) Stamped the word “Hugs” from the Lots of Hugs set on the bottom of the panel using Black Licorice hybrid ink, and then heat embossed a coordinating sentiment in white. 4) Stamped some flowers from the Sketched Blooms 2 set on watercolour paper in Black Licorice hybrid ink, coloured them with Peerless watercolors, and then fussy cut them. 5) Mounted the stamped panel on white card base using double-sided tape first, and then added all elements on it using foam tape.
