The Card Concept #18 – Back to School Theme

Hello folks!
It is time for a NEW challenge at The Card Concept! Check out the gorgeous inspiration below:
IP-18
And… here is what I came up with:
20140901-01As part of the wild card team, I am to create a card in the Shabby Chic style. Making shabby chic card with back to school theme? Oh…My… I was very concerned about it. But finally I found the great word ‘JOYFUL’. School life is full of happy & fun and it means there are lots of joyful moments like holding a bunch of beautiful flowers! Woo hoo!! These two is different kinds but the same feelings :D Hahaha~~

I chose two beautiful pattern papers from BasicGrey aspen frost collection pack – I used pattern papers after a long time – and put two pieces of paper together and then of course distressed the edges using Tim Holtz Paper Distresser. I then added more white acrylic paint on top till I had the look I wanted. Next, I decorated with several red & white roses, swirly leaves and white thread together.

20140901-02For the sentiment, I was so glad I found perfect stamps for back to school theme from Mama Elephant Today Was Stamp Set. “MON, TUE, WED, THU, FRI. full of laughs, so much fun” Phew~~~ Mama Elephant saved me lol!

20140901-03I hope you enjoyed my modern shabby chic style! :D

Thank you so much for stopping by and Have a wonderful day!!

The Card Concept #17 – Be Inspired…

Hello folks,
Today I am sharing a new The Card Concept #17 Yay!!

InspirationPhoto17Here is the inspiration photo for The Card Concept #17. A large olive green flower is so pretty!

And… here is my take on the picture:
20140815-No17-01I love green colour. Especially I feel refreshed with white & green colour combo!

For the greenish background panel, I chose Hero Arts Everything Flowers background stamp. I heat embossed it onto the watercolour paper in white at first. I then blended on the panel using Hero Arts Shadow Ink Lime Green Mid-Tone and Distress Ink Mowed Lawn. Dye inks dry quickly and will work well on many types of paper. I love dye inks very much :D

For elegant and classy looks, I used lace trim and stitched grosgrain ribbon – stitched ribbon was inspired by the stitched headboard – and I used word die ‘LOVE’ instead of stamping for sentiment. I decorated white flowers and silver sequins for finishing touch!

The Card Concept #16 – Create a wedding card

Hello folks,
Wow.. wow.. wow!! I am so excited to be a part of The Card Concept Wild Card Team!

Inspiration-Photo-16Here is the inspiration photo for The Card Concept #16. Isn’t it beautiful? I love it.

And… here is my first card for the Card Concept Challenge #16 :
20140806-YoonsunHur-01
My first task is to make a ‘Clean and Graphic’ card. The definition of Clean and Graphic is clean lines, simple treatment of text, no frills, bare boned, and message is communicated quickly. Hmm… honestly, It was quite a challenge to me because I love using many layers and frills LOL!!

I was inspired by the color combinations. Blue, white, and cream colours are so pure and match perfectly with weddings. I made a CAG inlaid die cut card in hope to inspire those who view it.

I die cut on the ivory panel using Spellbinders In’spire Die-Silhouette at first followed by the blue and cream coloured ones. For sentiment, I stamped ‘pure happiness’ in Memento Dye Ink Tuxedo Black.

20140806-YoonsunHur-02The most beautiful bride and her pure happiness! LOVELY!!
