Altenew – Thanks

Hello crafty friends!
I’m up on the Altenew blog today with my floral thanks card using the Hello Sunshine stamp set and Thanks word die.
yoonsunhur-20170216-altenew-hellosunshine001To start, I die cut a piece of watercolour paper using an A2 sized rectangle panel die in the SSS Basic Rectangles die set. I didn’t use watercolours but just wanted to add a light grainy paper texture to my card. After masking off all edges of the panel with washi tape, I stamped lots of small flowers from the Hello Sunshine set randomly onto the panel in MFT Black Licorice hybrid ink. I then coloured them with the Artist Markers (yellow & purple colors are Copic markers). I coloured the background with Faber Castell cool gray polychromos pencil. For the sentiment, I die cut the word “Thanks” from white card stock. Finally, I mounted the flower panel on white card base using double-sided tape first, and then added the sentiment die cut using foam tape. I embellished with a few PPP clear sequins & droplets.

SSS Thanks

Hello crafty friends!
Today I want to share with you my watercolour thanks card with the SSS Bright Blossoms and Thanks word dies.
sss-feb-product02
Here is what I came up with:
yoonsunhur-20170214-sssp02-001There are so many talented crafty friends around me and my card was inspired by Amy Sheffer‘s beautiful layered watercolour background! She is definitely one of my favourite card makers!!

yoonsunhur-20170214-sss-p01I started by creating a layered watercolour background. I die cut a piece of watercolour paper using A2 sized rectangle panel die in the Basic Rectangles die set, then die cut both ends of the panel using the Scallop Stitches dies. I then watercoloured on the bottom part of the panel in warm shades of red and yellow using Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor and a wet paint brush.
yoonsunhur-20170214-sss-p02Next, I die cut the Bright Blossoms from a separate watercolour paper, then coloured the petals with Festive Berries – I used Distress reinker. I die cut the Bright Blossoms from the same watercolour paper once again because I wanted to use white outlined flower cut.
yoonsunhur-20170214-sssp02-002For the sentiment, I used the Thanks word die.

SSS Thank You

Hello crafty friends, happy Sunday!!
Today I want to share with you my CAS watercolour card with the SSS Circle Leaves die.
sss-20170129-p05Simon Says Stamp has many elegant and beautiful dies and I love this newly released Circle Leaves in particular.

Here is what I came up with:
yoonsunhur-20170129-sss5-01To start, I die cut the Circle Leaves from the centre of an A2 sized white paper panel. I then made a watercoloured background with Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor: No.51 (May Green), No.53 (Mid Green), No.50 (Pale Aqua), No.139 (Purple). I heat embossed the sentiment from the Believe stamp set on black card stock in white, and then trimmed it to the small banner. Lastly I mounted all elements as shown to white card base using foam tape.
yoonsunhur-20170129-sss5-03As you may know, I like to make my own patterned background with stamps or dies, like to fill the background with stamped images but this time, I didn’t do it. This white background without images makes the watercoloured leaves more shining and beautiful!
yoonsunhur-20170129-sss5-02Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful weekend!!

Keep smiling and be blessed! God bless you all!

Altenew – Floral Sprig

Hello crafty friends!
I’m up on the Altenew blog today with my no-line watercolour flower card using the Altenew Floral Sprig Stamp Set. I love to make no-line watercolour card with outlined flower stamps (as you may know :D).
yoonsunhur-20160922-altenew-001To create this card, I 1) Die cut a piece of cold press watercolour paper using the SSS Basic Rectangles dies. 2) Stamped the images from the Floral Sprig set on the left part of the watercolour panel using Sand Dunes dye ink. 3) Coloured the flowers and leaves with Distress markers and Peerless watercolors. 4) Coloured around the flowers with Scattered Straw Distress ink. 5) Stamped the sentiment from the Floral Sprig set with Jet Black dye ink. 6) Decorated the watercoloured panel with Gold Glitter Tape and natural twine. 7) Mounted the panel on an A2 sized white card base using foam tape. 8) Embellished with a few PPP clear sequins.

MFT Color Challenge 48

Hello crafty friends, welcome to My Favorite Things Color Challenge 48.
MFT-ColorChallenge-48For my card today, I used Wild Wisteria, Blu Raspberry, and Sour Apple – I particularly love this colour combination in the summer!

Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20160623-MFTCC48-001To create this card, I 1) Die cut a piece of watercolour paper using the Stitched Mini Scallop Rectangle STAX Die-namics. 2) Stamped the flowers and leaves from the Large Desert Bouquet & Desert Bouquet sets randomly on watercolour paper panel in Wild Wisteria, Blu Raspberry, and Sour Apple hybrid inks – I used Mini MISTI stamping tool for crisp clean stamping. 3) Ink blended over the stamped panel with the same colours using mini ink blending tool, then added some pearl white ink splatters. 4) Die cut the word “Thanks” from white card stock using the Twice the Thanks Die-namics five times, then glued them together using fine tip glue pen. 5) Mounted the stamped panel on an A2 sized white card base using dimensional foam tape first, and then adhered the sentiment die cut on the bottom right corner of the card using fine tip glue pen. 6) Embellished with a few PPP clear sequins.
