SSS Rainbows Release Blog Hop – Day 2

Hello crafty friends, happy weekend!
Welcome to Day 2 of the Simon Says Stamp Rainbows Release Blog Hop. I’m so delighted to be a part of this amazing blog hop! If you arrived here from super talented Keisha Charles’s blog you are on the right track.


Today I’m focusing on the new 3D Card Die Set – it is really awesome die!!


I started by die cutting 2 pieces of large panel from SSS Cream cardstock using the 3D Card dies – there are score lines on each panel.


I folded in using bone folder along the score lines.

I taped those sides as shown in the picture – I did both panels.


I prepared 2.75″ (W) x 5.5″ (H) main panel to show images & sentiments, decorated it, and then put it to the bottom edge as shown in the picture.


Ta-da! We can easily make a 3D stand card. It. Is. So. COOL!!


For this card, I used the Be A Mermaid set & the Scallop Borders dies. I die cut several waves from coloured cardstock (see the supply list below) in (kind of) rainbow order using the largest scallop borders in the Scallop Borders die set. I then stamped & Copic coloured two beautiful mermaid tails from the Be A Mermaid set. I die cut them with the matching dies. I put all elements as shown in the picture onto 2.75 X 5.5″ white panel using double-sided tape.



For my second 3D card. I made a rainbow coloured background using some Distress Oxide ink – I used the Fired Brick, Fossilized Amber, Broken China and Wilted Violet to blend the panel. I then dry embossed the panel with the Roseville Bouquet embossing folder, took out the colours from flower areas. I added rainbow & sentiment on the bottom of the panel.

We can flatten the 3D card and put it in an A2 sized envelope!


For my last card for the hop today, I made blue floral card with the Roseville Bouquet embossing folder. I simply applied Roseville Bouquet embossing folder onto SSS Cornflower Blue cardstock, trimmed the panel using the Wonky Rectangle die, and then coloured some parts with white & green Faber-Castell polychromos colored pencils. For the sentiment, I used the With All My Heart die.

SSS Butterfly Kisses

Hello crafty friends!
Today’s cards feature the Butterfly Kisses stamp set along with other SSS goodies. Butterflies and flowers are the best combination for a beautiful card, right?!!

For my first card, I started by making butterflies background with warm-toned dye inks – Rosie Cheeks, Rose Apple, Lavender and Duckling. I then trimmed the edge of the stamped panel down using the Wonky Rectangle die.

For the centre of the card, I added pinkish hydrangea using Hydrangea Petals die – sadly, it’s retired so if you don’t have, you can use any other flower dies.

I die cut several petals from watercolour paper, blended on each petal with Worn Lipstick Distress ink, then gently brushed them with water as shown in the picture. For the pale yellow leaves, I used the detailed leaf die in the Detailed Rose die set. I added pink jewels on the centre of each petals after assembling flower.

Here is one more card with the Butterfly Kisses stamp set. I stamped solid butterfly images on white panel with cool-toned dye inks – Surf Blue, Audrey Blue, Winter Sky, Green Apple and Duckling. For the centre of the card, I die cut the Cosmos Bloom from watercolour paper, applied Mermaid Lagoon Distress ink, and then brushed it using water brush.

For the sentiment, I used the word “Thank you” in the Handlettered Greetings die set.

SSS Born to Sparkle Release Blog Hop – Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Simon Says Stamp Born to Sparkle Release Blog Hop. I’m so delighted to be a part of this amazing blog hop! If you arrived here from super talented Bibi Cameron’s blog you are on the right track.

Today, I’m featuring the new Painted Flowers & Spring Bouquets Sets. These spring flowers make me so happy!!

For my first card, I used the Painted Flowers Stamp Set along with the CZ Design Swoopy Thank You Die. I die cut the Rounded Corner Rectangle panel from watercolour paper first. I then stamped Painted Flowers & Leaves onto the panel with several SSS dye inks. I coloured the background with Pumice Stone Distress ink. I coloured each stamped image using Copic markers to give a highlighter effect.

For the sentiment, I die cut the word “Thank you” from Mega Thick White cardstock, the shadow from Fog Gray cardstock using the CZ Design Swoopy Thank You Die.


For my second card, I used the Spring Bouquets Stamp Set. I stamped flower cluster on A2 sized white paper panel using Memento Desert Sand dye ink first, and then coloured it with Copic markers.

Red roses : (from dark to light) R39, R29, R24, R22 and R20.
Yellow bud : YR14, E11, Y15 and Y02.
Leaves : G99, YG06 and G20.

I cut the right side of the floral panel with scissors, dry embossed it with Lumen Embossing Folder, then mounted the panel on Neenah Desert Storm card base.

SSS Floral Mother’s Day Cards

Hello crafty friends, happy weekend!
Today I have floral Mother’s Day cards with the Simon Says Stamp Best Friend Ever Set along with other goodies.

These all three floral cards that I did watercolouring with Distress inks. I love these pretty flower clusters in the Best Friend Ever stamp set.

I stamped flower image on watercolour paper using VersaFine Onyx Black first, then coloured the stamped image with some Distress inks. For flower petals, I used Festive Berries, Fired Brick and a little bit of Scattered Straw. For leaves, I used Mowed Lawn, Crushed Olive and Peeled Paint. Once the watercoloured image was dry, I die cut it with the matching die. For the sentiment, I stamped “Mama” from the CZ Design Love You Mama set on white cardstock using VersaFine Onyx Black, and then die cut it out. I heat embossed the word “LOVE YOU” on black cardstock in white as well. For the background panel, I die cut Chunky Scalloped Rectangle panel from thick white cardstock, dry embossed it with Lumen Embossing Folder. Finally I mounted scalloped rectangle panel on Neenah Desert Storm card base using double-sided tape first, and then added all elements as shown in the picture using foam tape.

For my second watercoloured floral card, I made it the same way as the first card. For the flower, I used the Seedless Preserves, Scattered Straw, Crushed Olive and Peeled Paint. For the sentiment, I stamped it from the CZ Design Love You Mama set on beige cardstock in VersaFine Onyx Black, then cut it out using banner die in the Nested Banners die set. For the background, I die cut Wonky Rectangle panel from Neenah Desert Storm cardstock first, then dry embossed it using the Splendid Leaves Embossing Folder.


For my last card today, I made a no-line watercolour card. I stamped flower image on watercolour paper using Altenew Sand Dunes dye ink first, coloured it with some Distress inks, then die cut it out. For the sentiment, I used the Mom Word Mix 2 stamp set & the Script Mom die.

SSS Floral Mother’s Day Cards

Hello crafty friends! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.
Today I have a couple of floral Mother’s Day cards with SSS Sweet Friend Set. :D



I started by stamping flowers & leaves from the Sweet Friend set on white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black dye ink. I then coloured all stamped images with Copic markers. For red flowers, I used R27, R20, R83 and R39 – coloured edge of each petals with R27 first, blended with lighter colours (R20, R83), then lastly added shade with the darkest colour (R39). For pink flowers, I used R22, R81 and R85.

For the sentiment, I heat embossed the “Love You” circle shaped sentiment from the Love and Valentines Word Mix 2 set in gold, then cut it using the Stitched Circle die.

I added tiny butterflies onto flowers – beautiful flowers & butterflies are a perfect match, right?!!


Here is another Mother’s Day card with the Sweet Friend set. I stamped & Copic marker coloured some flowers, then die cut them with the matching dies. For the white leaves, I used the detailed leaf die in the Detailed Rose die set.

For a mini kraft woodgrain envelope, I used the Mini Interactive Envelope die. For the sentiment, I die cut the “Mom” from metallic gold using the Script Mom die.

Flowers, butterflies and lovely script “Mom” sentiment are perfect for a beautiful Mother’s Day card. :D
