Recently Simon Says Stamp released a lot of cute stuff – cute bunny, bear, chicken, eggs, and flower plush dies. And today I am sharing with you my Easter card with Springtime Critters stamp set and Button Egg plush dies.SSS-Spring Plush-Banner
Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20160311-SSS-001 To create the card, I 1) Die cut a piece of watercolour paper using Stitches Square die. 2) Stamped the cute images from Springtime Critters set randomly onto watercolour panel using VersaFine Pigment Ink Vintage Sepia. 3) Coloured the background of the stamped panel with Gansai Tambi Watercolor (No.43). 4) Die cut the egg from pearl white card stock using Button Egg plush dies, the flowers and leaves from SSS coloured card stocks. 5) Placed the flowers and leaves on the egg die cut using dimensional foam tape, tied the natural twine as well. 6) Mounted all elements as shown to white square card base using double-sided tape.

SSS Spring Plush – Flower basket

Hello crafty friends, I hope you had a wonderful weekend!
Today I want to share with you a couple cards that I’ve made using SSS Spring Plush Exclusives. SSS-Spring Plush-Banner
SSS-FeltCreating something using felt sheets is a very new to me, even I wasn’t interested in hand stitching before. But I guess I changed my mind!! I’ve had so much fun with plush dies and felt sheets over the last weekend!
YoonsunHur-20160307-SSS-A001For this, I was totally inspired by so talented Wanda Guess. I love making floral themed cards and Wanda’s beautiful felt pin fixed my attention!!

To create this card, I die cut flowers and leaves from assorted SSS wool felt sheets using Swirl Flowers and Leaves and Button Egg plush dies. And then I stitched them (as shown to the picture) using Hemptique Earthy Natural Hemp Cord. For the swirl pattern panel, I die cut a piece of white card stock using Stitches Squares die, then die cut from the panel using Stitched Whirl Background die. I then inked the edge of the panel with Antique Linen Distress ink using mini blending tool. I mounted all elements as shown to white square card base using double-sided tape, then embellished with a few PPP clear droplets.
YoonsunHur-20160307-SSS-A002I am so in love with felt on white card base!
YoonsunHur-20160307-SSS-B001For my second card, I made the same flower basket as the first card but using papers. I die cut flowers and leaves from SSS card stocks – I used Lemon Chiffon card stock for basket and Schoolhouse RedSunshineCotton CandyBurnt Orange for flowers and Green Apple, Mint for leaves.

SSS I’m here for you

Hello crafty friends, I hope you had a wonderful weekend!
Today I am just popping in to show you my card with SSS Leaves stencil.
YoonsunHur-20160229-SSS-001For the background, I 1) Die cut a piece of watercolour paper using Stitches Rectangles die. 2) Blended onto the watercolour panel with (from the top left corner) Wild HoneyWorn LipstickTwisted Citron, and Tumbled Glass Distress inks using mini blending tool. 3) Laid the Leave stencil over the inked panel, wiped off the inks from the panel using a wet tissue. (Distress inks react with water so well.) 4) Brushed the edges of the leaves with water using water brush. 5) Spritzed on the panel with Ranger Perfect Pearls Mist and then added some white ink splatters.

SSS Reason To Smile – Be Coffee

Hello crafty friends!
Today I am sharing with you a loose watercolour card that I’ve made using SSS Reason To Smile Choose Happy stamp set.
SSS-CoffeeI love all of these sentiments especially the (top right hand corner) “COFFEE”. Almost everyone loves coffee, right?! Coffee & crafting, they are bound up each other!

Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20160225-SSS-001To create this card, I 1) Stamped the sentiment from Choose Happy set at the centre of watercolour paper panel in pigment black. 2) Stamped the coffee cups, hearts, and stars randomly around the stamped sentiment area. 3) Coloured them loosely with Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor using water brush. 4) Mounted the watercoloured panel on SSS Dark Chocolate card base using dimensional foam tape.
YoonsunHur-20160225-SSS-002“Don’t Worry, Be Coffee!!”
