Floral Friday: SSS Olive Leaves

Hello crafty friends, TGIF!
Today I have a couple of “Thinking of You” cards with the Simon Says Stamp Olive Leaves die set.

Simon Says Stamp Olive Leaves Die Set

Finally, I made alcohol ink background! I know, alcohol ink background became trendy a few years ago but at the time, honestly, I didn’t want to add alcohol inks in my stash because I had so many different mediums like watercolours, Distress inks, etc.. HOWEVER, I ended up falling in love with the charm of alcohol ink background. The unexpected result is particularly attractive!! :D

I die cut the Stylized Butterfly from thick white cardstock, small olive leaf from metallic gold cardstock, and then mounted them onto the centre of the card front using foam tape.

I decorated the gold olive leaf with gold crystals.

Here is another card with the Olive Leaves die set. I made another alcohol ink background with blue, yellow and metallic gold alcohol inks. I then die cut the Thinking of You Heart & Olive Leaves from white cardstock. I applied green Distress inks to a part of Olive Leaves die cuts.

I love the adorable Olive Leaves so much!

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful weekend!

Keep smiling and be blessed! God bless you all!

SSS Hello Gorgeous Release Blog Hop – Day 1

Hello gorgeous friends, happy Wednesday!
Welcome to Day 1 of the Simon Says Stamp Hello Gorgeous Release Blog Hop. I’m so happy to be a part of this, literally, gorgeous blog hop! If you arrived here from super gorgeous Norine Borys’s blog you are on the right track.

For my first card, I am featuring brand new Folk Art Flowers background stamp.

With this floral stamp, you can stamp it with one colour or with several coloured inks because flower petals and tiny circles can be separated from stamp! Oh so gorgeous!!

I stamped leaves with Green Apple & Evergreen dye inks, flower petals with Lipstick Red, Sunshine, Scuba and Blue Jay dye inks. I then stamped all tiny circles with Deep Purple dye ink. For the sentiment, I used the With All My Heart die. Finally, I decorated the card with tiny butterflies, tiny white pearls and green coloured glitters. :D

For my second card, I used the Garden Boots stamp set – it is so adorable! I randomly stamped images on watercolour paper panel using VersaFine Vintage Sepia pigment ink, coloured all stamped images with Altenew watercolors and some Distress inks. I heat embossed the sentiment on black banner in white, and then decorated it with the new Olive Leaves.

Here is a closer look:

Here is one more card with the Garden Boots stamp set – it was specially made for Ukraine. I watercoloured boot with blue, flowers with yellow, and then added the rainbow on top of the image.

I keep praying for Ukraine!

Floral Friday: SSS Sunflower

Hello crafty friends!
As you know, the sunflower is the national flower of Ukraine so I decided to use the Simon Says Stamp Sunflower Petals die set for this week’s Floral Friday!

Simon Says Stamp Sunflower Petals Die Set

I die cut petals and disk from watercolour paper using the Sunflower Petals dies first, applied Fossilized Amber Distress ink to all petals, coloured the centre of the sunflower with Walnut Stain Distress ink, and then assembled all pieces.

I die cut the cross from watercolour paper using the CZ Design Inlaid Cross die set, applied Broken China (Blue) and Fossilized Amber (Yellow) Distress inks. I added water drops.

Sending my love and prayers to all innocent people of Ukraine!

Keep smiling and be blessed! God bless you all!

Praying for Ukraine

Hello crafty friends!
I’ve been thinking about Yana all weekend.. how afraid would she be now.. how sad would it be.. how painful would it be.. I kept praying for Yana, her families and her country, Ukraine – all the card makers around the world would have been the same as me. So I made a “Thinking of You” card with my prayers and love.

I used blue and yellow coloured cardstock. The reason is because we all know well. I dry embossed to an A2 sized panel using beautiful Roseville Bouquet embossing folder, and then added the “Thinking of You” sentiment & butterflies.

Please visit Yana’s blog. We can know how we can support Ukraine!!

NO WAR PLEASE!!!

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a peaceful day!

Keep smiling and be blessed! God bless you all!

Floral Friday: SSS Chinese Lantern Stem

Hello crafty friends!
Today I have an encouragement card with SSS Chinese Lantern Stem die. The Chinese Lantern Stem is recently released from Simon Says Stamp Good Luck Charm. It’s very popular!!

Simon Says Stamp Chinese Lantern Stem Die

Chinese Lantern flower means safety, comfort and protection so I decided to make an encouragement card with it. :D

At first I die cut the Chinese Lantern Stem from watercolour paper. I then coloured all die cuts with Distress inks:
Flowers: Dried Marigold & Spiced Marmalade
Leaves and stems: Bundled Sage & Peeled Paint.
Next, I dry embossed an A2 sized watercolour paper panel using the Crystal Distortion embossing folder, applied Dried Marigold Distress ink to the panel, and then made a square window on the top left part of the panel.

I heat embossed the sentiment from the CZ Design Clean Line Stacks set onto watercolour paper in white, inked onto it with Spiced Marmalade Distress ink. I then adhered the sentiment panel to the back of the background panel.

I mounted the background panel and the Chinese Lantern Stems on the card as shown in the picture, and then decorated the card with tiny butterflies & 4mm clear droplets. :D

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful weekend!

Keep smiling and be blessed! God bless you all!
