Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20150526-MFT01
I am in the process of getting used to using MFT inks. Although I haven’t been able to fully master them, I am falling in love with MFT dye inks the more I use them. I don’t know why I didn’t use it before!! The colours of MFT dye inks are vivid, bright, cheerful and even dynamic!

1)For my ombre watercolour background, I painted on the watercolour panel with Razzle Berry, Bubblegum, Pink Lemonade dye inks (from the bottom to the top) using a wide paint brush. When I make watercolour background I brush the water over the panel before apply the colours. It will allow the colours to blend more naturally. 2)I then stamped the flowers with MFT hybrid inks, fussy cut them. 3)To finish it off, I mounted the flowers as shown to the watercolour panel using dimensional foam tape, added clear sequins.

I strongly recommend you to try creating your own watercolour background using these colours!

Print
Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20150519-MFT-CC01Today I made my own watercolour background with Myriad Dot Background stamp. I used watercolour smooshing technique -it is so great to create backgrounds with all kinds of colour combinations.

For the background 1)I stamped Myriad Dot on the watercolour panel using embossing ink, white heat embossed. 2)I inked onto my craft sheet with dye inks Pink Lemonade, BubblegumRazzle Berry. And then spritzed with fresh water and swiped a panel of watercolour paper through the inked areas. Then, I mounted flamingos, sentiment banner as shown to watercoloured panel.

MFT – Inspirational Quote

Hello crafty friends! This week, there will be a chock full of inspirational stories and photos on the MFT Blog! Are you ready to take part in this inspirational journey with us? Ready, set, let’s go!! Print Each day will focus on a different theme:
May 11 – Tell us about an Inspirational Teacher You Once Had
May 12 – Tell us your Favorite Inspirational Quote
May 13 – Tell us about an Inspirational Coach or Mentor You Once Had
May 14 – What Historical Figure Inspires You and Why?
May 15 – What Artist Inspires You and Why?

Today’s theme is about an “Inspirational Quote.” And my choice is ‘Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication’ -Leonardo da Vinci 201505-MFT-InspiredBy-DaVinci02

Here is what I came up with: YoonsunHur-20150512-MFT01 YoonsunHur-20150512-MFT02 For my first card, 1)I stamped the flowers from Build-able Blooms Stamp Set on the white panel with Nightshift Blue Hybrid Ink -I just need one colour of ink for it. 2)For the sentiment, I inked on the white cardstock with Nightshift Blue Hybrid Ink using blending tool and then stamped it from For the Boys Stamp Set on the inked panel using embossing ink, white heat embossed. 3)I added tiny dots on the stamped images using white gel pen -the flowers look like more fun & fresh!

My second card is used in the same way as my first card but added a bit more colour. For the sentiment, I used it from Tickled Pink Stamp Set.

Both of my cards are so simple but they have a story to tell us, aren’t they?

Now it’s your turn to Tell us your Favorite Inspirational Quote!
