MFT August Release Countdown – Day 5

Hello crafty friends, TGIF!
Welcome to the My Favorite Things August Release Countdown Day 5.
NewReleaseCountdown_Day5My card features the Essential Sentiments stamp set. It literally has lots and lots of essential sentiments for all occasions in one set – I LOVE IT!!
YoonsunHur-August-MFTRC-Day5-001To start, I made my own floral background with the Flashy Florals stamp set. I die cut the stitched rectangle panel from white card stock using the Blueprints 25 Die-namics first, then randomly stamped the flowers and leaves from the Flashy Florals set on it using Grout GrayGravel Gray hybrid inks, splotches from the Distressed Patterns set with VersaFine Smokey Grey. Next, I heat embossed the sentiments from the Essential Sentiments set on coloured card stocks in white: Cherry Crisp, Coral Crush, Pineapple, Limelight, Summer Splash, and Wild Wisteria in rainbow order. I mounted the flower patterned panel on an A2 sized white card base using double-sided tape first, and then added the sentiment banners on the card front using dimensional foam tape. I embellished with a few PPP clear droplets.

MFT_WSC_291
Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20160727-MFTWSC291-001For my card today, I made a fun birthday card. I 1) Stamped the bunny and teddy from the Snuggle Bunnies set on watercolour paper in Black Licorice hybrid ink, watercoloured them, then die cut them with the matching dies. 2) Stamped the Watercolor Stripes Background on heavy white card stock in Latte hybrid ink, then trimmed the paper using the Cross-Stitch Rectangle STAX Die-namics. 3) Heat embossed the sentiment from the Big Birthday Sentiments set on black card stock in white, then die cut it with banner die in the Blueprints 27 Die-namics. 4) Die cut the balloon from white card stock using the Big Birthday Balloons Die-namics, then inked it with Festive Berries Distress ink using mini ink blending tool. 5) Mounted all elements as shown to white card base using dimensional foam tape. 6) Embellished with a few PPP clear sequins.
YoonsunHur-20160727-MFTWSC291-002It is fun, fun, FUN to make birthday cards!!

Julia Altermann – Celebrating 10K YouTube Subscribers Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends, I’m so thrilled (and honoured) to be a part of my super talented friend Julia‘s Celebrating 10K You Tube Subscribers Blog Hop. Wow! She reached an important milestone!!
Julia-BlogHop-BannerThe topic of her hop is “Celebrating Kindness” because she wants to give back to everyone who has been so supportive over the past few years, so it’s really about celebrating all the awesome people in our community who are so generous with taking the time to comment, encourage, send cards and just be wonderful – I totally respect and admire her opinions!!

Here is my card for this wonderful hop:YoonsunHur-20160726-MFT-JuliaBlogHop-001For my card today, I made a watercolour flower card with the MFT Grand Peaceful Wildflowers stamp set – Watercolour is definitely my most favourite painting medium!! I heat embossed the flowers from the set on cold press watercolour paper panel in white, then loosely coloured around the flowers with Distress inks using a wet paint brush. Next, I heat embossed the sentiment from the MFT Delicate Pretty Poppies set on black card stock in white, then cut the small banner. Once the watercoloured panel was dry, I mounted the panel on an A2 sized white card base using double-sided tape first, and then added the sentiment banner using dimensional foam tape.

MFT July Creative Construction with Blueprints

Hello crafty friends, welcome to the My Favorite Things July Creative Construction with Blueprints Challenge!
MFT-CCB-BannerWith five different Tag Builder Blueprints in our ever-expanding collection, as well as the numerous tags included in our traditional Blueprints series, constructing tags to adorn birthday cards and gifts has never been easier. This month, we challenged the team to craft tags designed to celebrate the occasion we all love to craft for with designs that will be as cherished as the gift itself.

Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20160726-MFT-CCB001I often, and unexpectedly, give my friends some homemade cupcakes with handmade tags and they say “It’s like my birthday today. I love your cupcakes but your tag is far more precious!” :D I believe our little gift tags can make someone’s day!!

For today’s tags, I die cut the stitched rectangle tags from cold press watercolour paper using the Tag Builder Blueprints 4 Die-namics first, and then I made my own floral backgrounds with several flower stamp sets, added the word die cuts on them.
YoonsunHur-20160726-MFT-CCB002For my first tag, I used the Sketched Blooms and Desert Bouquet stamp sets to make the floral background and the word “thanks” I used the Thanks & Hello Die-namics.

YoonsunHur-20160726-MFT-CCB003For my second tag, I used the Modern Blooms and Mini Modern Blooms stamp sets to make the floral background and the word “hello” I also used the Thanks & Hello Die-namics.

Make sure to head over to the MFT blog today for more great projects from the design team for this months challenge.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Happy crafting!!

Keep smiling and be blessed! God bless you all!
