WPlus9 – Watercolour Flower Cards

Hello crafty friends!
I am very happy to be a guest for Wplus9 today! Wplus9 flower stamp is definitely the gem of my stamp collection. Oh, I am so honoured!
YoonsunHur-20160621-Wplus9-A001For my first card today, I used the new Beautiful Bouquet: Mums stamp set. First, I stamped the flower image on watercolour paper with VersaFine Onyx Black, then trimmed it with MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics. Next, I watercoloured them with Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor using a paint brush. For the sentiment, I stamped it from the Beautiful Bouquet: Ranunculus set on the panel in black. Finally, I mounted the panel on an A2 sized kraft card base using dimensional foam tape.

YoonsunHur-20160621-Wplus9-B001Here is another watercolour flower card with my all-time favourite Botanical Bunch stamp set. I tried to create a subtle, yet lovely watercolour effect. First, I stamped the clustered flower image from the Botanical Bunch set at the top & bottom part of watercolour paper panel with Worn Lipstick Distress ink. I then brushed them with a bit of water using water brush. Next, I watercoloured the rest areas with Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry, Wild Honey, and Spiced Marmalade Distress inks using a wet paint brush, then added the Perfect Pearls Mist here and there. For the sentiment, I die cut the word “Hello” from white card stock using the Hand Lettered Hello die four times, glued them together using a fine tip glue pen. Once dry the panel, I mounted it on an A2 sized white card base using double-sided tape first, and then adhered the sentiment die cut at the centre of the card using a fine tip glue pen.

Clearly Besotted – Baby Cards

Today I am sharing my couple of baby cards with the Clearly Besotted Littlest Onesie & Petite Baby Shower stamp sets.

YoonsunHur-20160616-CBesotted-002CBesotted-P01For my first card, I made a baby girl card with the Littlest Onesie stamp set. I randomly stamped onesies on watercolour paper with pinkish colours: SSS Rosie Cheeks dye ink, SSS Twirling Tutu, Apricot, and Sunkist hybrid inks, Hero Arts Bubble Gum, Butter Bar dye inks.
CBesotted-P02I stamped the tiny heart – it’s so cute – from the Little Things set on the stamped panel using Hero Arts Neon Red dye ink, coloured the background with Tattered Rose Distress ink using water brush. I then trimmed it with the MFT Stitched Mini Scallop Square STAX Die-namics. Next, I wrapped pink stitched grosgrain ribbon at the middle of the white card base and then mounted the stamped panel on it using dimensional foam tape. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the “new baby” from the Littlest Onesie set in white, trimmed it with the small banner in the MFT Blueprints 29 Die-namics.

YoonsunHur-20160616-CBesotted-004Here is another baby card. It’s a baby boy card with the Petite Baby Shower stamp set. I made it the same way but used the different colours: SSS Blue Jay, Lake Shores, Scuba, Willow, Jellybean, Mint Candy, and Stone hybrid inks, Hero Arts Butter Bar dye ink.

SugarPea Designs – Sending Warm Hugs

Hello crafty friends, happy Monday!
I’m back again with another SugarPea Designs project. For today’s card, I used the Quackers stamp set and Whatever The Weather dies.

Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20160523-SugarPea-001To create the card, I 1) Stamped the ducks from Quackers set on watercolour paper using VersaFine Onyx Black, coloured them with Distress markers, then die cut them with the matching dies. 2) Die cut the sun and clouds from a separate watercolour paper using Whatever The Weather dies, then coloured them with Fossilized Amber and Tumbled Glass Distress markers. 3) Made the background using the sunrays patterned paper in the Whatever The Weather Patterned Paper Collection, MFT Farm Fence & Grassy Hills die cuts. 4) Mounted all elements as shown to A2 white card base using dimensional foam tape. 5) Embellished with a few PPP clear sequins.

Clearly Besotted – Let’s PARTY

Hello crafty friends, TGIF!!
Today I want to share with you my fun birthday card with the Clearly Besotted Let’s Party & All In Onesie stamp sets.
YoonsunHur-20160520-CB-001When my niece saw the All In Onesie stamp set, she really begged me for her friend’s birthday card. My niece received an invitation to her friend’s birthday party and the invitees need to wear “ONESIE” pajama on this weekend!! So I decided to make her wish come true (or her friend?!) :D
YoonsunHur-20160520-CB-003I used the Mini MISTI stamping tool to repeat stamp the balloons from Let’s Party set on white paper panel using several colours of Altenew dye ink: (from the top) Ruby Red, Warm Sunshine, Coral Berry, Caribbean Sky, and Lavender Fields. I then stamped the sentiment in VersaFine Onyx Black.
YoonsunHur-20160520-CB-002For these adorable kids & speech bubbles, I stamped them from All In Onesie set on watercolour paper using VersaFine Onyx Black, coloured them with Distress markers, then fussy cut them.

SugarPea Designs – Pineapple

Today is my second guest designer post for SugarPea Designs.

YoonsunHur-20160516-SugarPea-A001To create this card, I stamped the pineapple from Pineapple Paradise set on watercolour paper using Mustard Seed & Mowed Lawn Distress inks, added a bit of water on it, then die cut it with the Pineapple Paradise die. Next, I die cut the bubble speech panel from vellum paper using Chatterbox Journal Card dies, the rectangle panel from the Whatever The Weather Patterned Paper Collection using MFT rectangle panel die. For the sentiment, I stamped the “Aloha” on white card stock in VersaFine Onyx Black, then fussy cut it. Finally, I mounted all elements as shown to A2 white card base using dimensional foam tape, them embellished with a few PPP clear sequins.

YoonsunHur-20160516-SugarPea-B001With the Pineapple Paradise stamp set, I made a fun background. I used the Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers, Evergreen Bough, and Twisted Citron Distress inks for pineapple stamping and then added some PPP sparkly sequins for fun!!
