Altenew + The Daily Marker Watercolor Therapy Blog Hop & Giveaway

Hello crafty friends, TGIF!
Welcome to the Altenew + The Daily Marker Watercolor Therapy Blog Hop. I’m so happy to be a part of this amazing blog hop! If you arrived here from Isha Gupta’s blog you are on the right track!
Just like the title of the blog hop, watercolouring is certainly one of the great ways to heal my mind! It’s a remedy that gives joy to my tired mind. I’m sure you agree with me. :D Today I want to share my watercoloured “Thank You” card using the Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers along with the Forever and Always set.
Rose petals: Crimson, Citrus Burst
Leaves: Lime, Sweet Leaf, Mountain Mist
Stem: Paper Bag
I stamped a bouquet of roses from the Forever and Always set using brown pigment ink. I coloured edges of each petal with Crimson, then added water as shown in the picture.
I then took the colour out using tissue. Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers are vivid and strong. The colours themselves are beautiful but if we take the colour out a bit, it gives off a vintage look.
I arranged all watercoloured roses onto 3.25 x 4.5″ rectangle panel – adhered roses temporarily on white panel using washi tapes, and then trimmed them. I didn’t use white paper panel.
I traced a 3.25 x 4.5″ rectangle on the centre of kraft card base with a pencil, and then added all trimmed images using foam tape. For the sentiment, I used the word “Thank you” in the Flower Arrangement die set.

SSS Sunny Days Ahead Release Blog Hop – Day 2

Hello crafty friends!
Welcome to Day 2 of the Simon Says Stamp Sunny Days Ahead Release Blog Hop! If you arrived here from talented Karin Äkesdotter’s blog you are on the right track! Sadly my parcel hasn’t arrived yet so I will share my Mother’s Day cards using previous released (and my favourite) products with you today. I hope it will arrive soon!
For my first card, I used the Botanical Heart stamp set & the Script Mom die.
I stamped large sized flower image from the Botanical Heart set onto watercolour paper panel with Faded Jeans Distress ink.
As many of you already know, Distress inks react with water so I just freely brushed part of stamped image with water brush as shown in the picture.
I painted my flowers with Faded Jean Distress ink as my main colour, then added Crushed Olive, Fossilized Amber and Mowed Lawn Distress inks.
For the sentiment, I used the Script Mom die & the Tiny Words Encouragement stamp set.
I love this “artsy style” so much!! :D

Here is another Mother’s Day card, I used the Floral Mom Frame die & the Love Friendship stamp set.
I die cut the Floral Mom Frame from watercolour paper first, and then lightly inked on the flowers & leaves with some Distress inks:
Flowers: Festive Berries, Fossilized Amber, Seedless Preserves
Leaves: Crushed Olive, Mowed Lawn
I decorated the part of the word “MOM” with PPP Valentine Jewels.

Here is a closer look:

I will make & share my cards with brand new Sunny Days Ahead products soon!

SSS United We Craft! Party

Hello awesomely creative friends!
I believe that all of you and your family there are well! Today is a very special day. Simon Says Stamp threw a very exciting party called “United We Craft! Blog Party”. I’m so happy to be a part of this EPIC party today.

For my first card, I used the Botanical Heart stamp & die set – it’s definitely one of my favourites among Simon products. Colouring large sized floral image takes time but I don’t care. I just feel so great like being an artist during this time. :D
I stamped the floral image from the Botanical Heart set onto watercolour paper using VersaFine Vintage Sepia pigment ink, then coloured the stamped image with Tonic Nuvo Aqua Flow Pens – these aqua pens are also one of my favourite watercolour mediums. Once the watercoloured floral image was dry, I die cut it with the matching die.
For the sentiment, I stamped it from the Just Because Word Mix 2 set on white cardstock using VersaFine Onyx Black, and then die cut it.
I added clear droplets here and there.

For my other two cards here, I used the Layered Tulips stamp set along with the Lettered Greeting Cards Sentiment Strips – it took less than 20 minutes to make each card!
For the blue tulips, I used Lake Shores & Blue Jay dye inks.
For the layered red tulips, I used Rose Apple & Lipstick Red dye inks.

Our intention in creating the #SSSUnitedWeCraft hashtag was to encourage everyone to show the human side of our quarantined creativity (as well as the beautiful things that everyone is creating). We would love for you to share photos with you and your family creating – your kids, your significant other, your pets, or anyone else in your house OR photos of Zoom craft sessions or Instagram story parties that you are having with your creative friends. We want to show how crafting is bringing us together in new ways. You can share your photos in your blog post (if you are doing a blog), but we would really love for you to share sweet, crafty faces on Instagram and use the hashtag #SSSUnitedWeCraft to allow us to see the happiness that our craft is bringing to the world.
Ta-da! I will give away these 6 of my cards in the picture to 6 of my precious IG followers! Please visit my IG (Click HERE).

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a safe and healthy weekend!

Keep smiling and be blessed! God bless you all!

PPP Spring Blessings

Hello crafty friends, I really hope you and your family are healthy and safe during this difficult period.
Today I have a cheerful card with newly released PPP Crocus stencil & Spring Blessings Script die.
I started by making floral background with the new Crocus stencil – I love it!! I placed the Crocus stencil on the bottom left side of watercolour paper panel in place, then taped all leaves using washi tape to avoid the mixture of purple & green colours. I ink blended Crocus with some Distress inks:
Petals : Seedless Preserves
Leaves : Mowed Lawn & Crushed Olive
I made one more flower on the top right side of the panel. After ink blending, I added Copic V15 marker to give the petals more depth and ink splatters as well.
For the sentiment on the centre, I used the Spring Blessings Script die. I die cut it from SSS Green Apple cardstock.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a healthy day.

Keep smiling and be blessed! God bless you all!

PPP Baby Boy Card

Hello crafty friends!
Today I have a sweet little baby boy card to share with you using brand new Pretty Pink Posh products. I used the Baby and the Little One sets.
I heat embossed the word “BABY” onto the Sea Glass cardstock in white first, and then die cut it with the matching die. I then adhered the “BABY” die cut on the same coloured Sea Glass card base using foam tape. I die cut several stars from blue & white cardstock using the Baby coordinating die set as well.
I stamped several cute images from the Baby & the Little One sets on watercolour paper using Memento Tuxedo Black dye ink, coloured them with Copic markers, then die cut them with the matching dies. I added all cute images as shown in the picture on the card using foam tape.
I added white dots here and there using Tonic Simply White Nuvo Crystal Drops.
As you may know, Paulina, the Pretty Pink Posh owner, recently gave birth to a son, Zion.
Congratulations Paulina! Your Zion is a blessing from heaven!!

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a healthy weekend.

Keep smiling and be blessed! God bless you all!
