Floral Thanks Cards

Hello crafty friends!
Wow!! A wonderfully happy surprise gift arrived in my mailbox last weekend. It was a customised floral stamp set that Altenew sent to celebrate their 11th anniversary!

The moment I saw this special flower set (include my name!!), I sat down at my desk right away to make a card. :D

I stamped the pretty flower image onto the top-right & bottom-left corners of an A2 white paper panel using Memento Tuxedo Black dye ink first, then coloured the stamped images with Altenew Acrylic Markers. After colouring, I dry embossed the floral panel with Altenew Diamond Stars 3D embossing folder. For the sentiment, I die cut the “Thanks” from Matte Gold cardstock using Altenew Bold Thanks die set. I decorated the card with Altenew Crystal Clear Gem Sparkles.

Another floral card here, I used Altenew Climber Flowers die set as my main supply.

I die cut the pieces from watercolour paper first, ink blended all pieces, then assembled each flowers using fine tip glue pen.

I applied several distress inks for layered flowers as below:
Large flower: (from the top to base) Antique Linen, Tattered Rose and Aged Mahogany
Small flower: (from the top to base) Aged Mahogany, Seedless Preserves and Milled Lavender
Small leaves: blended with Bundled Sage and Evergreen Bough.

After waiting a moment for the ink to dry completely, I used a wet paintbrush to wash over each flower, softening the colours – I did a water wash over the piece with Seedless Preserves ink applied, then dabbed it with a paper towel to lighten the colour.

Exactly same as the small flower, I washed over the piece with Antique Linen ink applied, then dabbed it with a paper towel to lighten the colour as well. Just like real flowers look fresher when watered, these paper flowers also look more fresh when I lighten the colours with water, right?!!

I randomly adhered flowers and leaves onto an A2 cream paper panel using foam tape, then added Crystal Clear Gem Sparkles between the flowers and leaves.

Honestly, I’m in love with this floral card!! :D

Congratulations on your amazing 11-year journey, Altenew!

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful weekend!

Keep smiling and be blessed! God bless you all!

Simple Flower Cards

Hello crafty friends!
Today I will share with you a couple of simple floral cards with the MFT Stitched Flowers Die-Namics. I’m still obssessed with the MFT Stitched Flowers! ;)

For my first card, I made a card to celebrate a wedding. For the background panel, I die cut from thick white cardstock using an A2 sized Paper Rose Studio Pierced Rectangles Panel die first, then dry embossed the panel using Altenew Mod Squares 3D embossing folder. (By the way, Paper Rose Studio is a craft company based in Australia. As a fellow Australian, I feel so proud to know that such a wonderful craft company is from here. :D)

I die cut several shaped and sized stitched flowers, very thin stems and tiny leaves from assorted colour cardstock using MFT Stitched Flowers Die-Namics. I also cut Love Heart Hands from white cardstock, coloured the die cut with E00 Cotton Pearl & E11 Barely Beige Copic sketch markers. For the sentiment, I die cut from Matte Gold cardstock using MFT Twice Blessed Die-Namics.

I assembled stitched flowers and leaves to make bouquet using adhesives as you can see the picture, then decorated bouquet, wrist, and gold ‘blessed’ sentiment with Paper Rose Studio Clear Crystals because it’s a card to celebrate a beautiful bride, it’s perfectly fine to add as many sparkling crystals as we can! :D

For the second card, I made a watercolour stitched flower card. It is east to make! I die cut some stitched flowers from watercolour paper first, randomly adhered flowers onto an A2 sized white paper panel using foam tape, then lightly watercoloured all flowers. I coloured the centre of each flower with Scattered Straw & Wild Honey distress inks, petals with Pumice Stone distress ink. I added green leaves between the flowers as accents. :)

Stitched Floral Cards

Hello crafty friends, TGIF!
Today I will share with you pretty floral cards featuring MFT Stitched Flowers Die-Namics.

If you are who makes flower cards, you probably have at least one favourite flower die set. MFT Stitched Flower die set is one of my all-time favourites. This beautiful floral die set has been around for a while, but thankfully it hasn’t been retired yet (hopefully it will be back soon).

For the first card, I applied the Altenew Diamond Stars 3D embossing folder to kraft paper panel first, then slightly distressed the edges using Tim Holtz Paper Distresser to make a bit rough edges. I die cut some stitched flowers from thick white cardstock using MFT Stitched Flower dies, then inked them with yellow (Wild Honey) & red (Festive Berries) distress inks.

For the second card, I made a daisy card using the MFT Stitched Flower die set. I used the same supplies as in my first card but made a different layout.

For the background panel, I dry embossed with Diamond Stars 3D embossing folder, then applied pigment white ink on the panel. Pigment white ink is very vivid and bright. So, to avoid applying it too heavily, I brushed onto the kraft panel with a blending brush.

For my last card today, I made a ‘Happy Mother’s Day’ card. I simply die cut the stitched flowers from several coloured cardstock first, then assembled them together as you can see the picture.

For the sentiment, I used SSS Reverse Mom Days Sentiment Strips.

Along with PPP clear droplets, one thing I almost always use on my flower cards is a white butterfly. When tiny butterflies and clear droplets are placed around or on top of the flowers, the flowers seem to look much fresher and more beautiful, please say “YES!”. :D

I think I will continuously be mixing old and new products to make my cards-there are many oldies that I absolutely cherish. I really hope you love my cards. :D

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!
