Hello crafty friends!
Welcome to the Altenew June 2017 Release Blog Hop!! We are releasing 11 new stencils which will be available for purchase on Tuesday, June 13th. :) If you arrived here from Sandra Dietrich’s blog you are on the right track!

I made 2 watercolour flower cards using the new Mega Rose and the Layered Dahlia A stencils. If you can’t draw flowers by hand, using flower stencils can create impressively amazing results with very little skill!!
To create the card, I laid the Mega Rose stencil over watercolour paper, taped it in place using washi tape, and then inked with Festive Berries Distress ink and mini ink blending tool. Once the panel was dry, I trimmed it down using an A2 sized rectangle panel die. I then added a little bit darker red colour, Fired Brick Distress ink, to the edge of each petal using water brush. For the sentiment, I stamped “thanks” from the Enchanted Iris set, other sentiment from the Layered Letters AFG set using pigment black ink. Finally, I mounted the panel on white card base using glue tape.

Here is another watercolour flower card with brand new stencil, the Layered Dahlia A & B set. I used the same way as the first card but using different colours. I used Tumbled Glass Distress ink on the base and then added Mowed Lawn, Mermaid Lagoon, and Faded Jeans Distress inks. For the sentiment, I stamped them from the Adore You set using pigment black ink.
