Whimsy Stamps March Release Day 3

Hello crafty friends, welcome to the Whimsy Stamps March Release Day 3.
Whimsy-Banner-Day3Today I am featuring a new Hand Stitched Rectangles dies and Handmade From Me stamp set. I particularly love Handmade From Me stamp set among all of the March release products.

Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-201603-Whimsy-Day3-001For my card today, I made a simple watercolour card. First I 1) Die cut a piece of watercolour paper using A2 sized stitched rectangle die in the Hand Stitched Rectangles set. 2) Stamped the images from Handmade From Me set onto watercolour paper panel using VersaFine pigment Onyx Black. 3) Coloured the stamped images loosely using Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor. 4) Tied white cotton twine on top of the panel. 5) Mounted the panel on A2 white card base using dimensional foam tape. 6) Embellished with a few PPP clear sequins.

Whimsy Stamps March Release Day 2

Hello crafty friends, welcome to the Whimsy Stamps March Release Day 2.
Whimsy-March-Banner2Today I am featuring a new Hand Lettered Encouragement stamp set. There are so many gorgeous sentiments and pretty leaves in one set.

Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-201603-Whimsy-Day2-001I made one layer card. First I 1) Stamped the leaves from Hand Lettered Encouragement set onto watercolour paper panel using SSS hybrid inks – I used Jellybean, Willow, Lake Shores, Mint Candy, and Scuba hybrid inks. 2) Brushed around the leaves with Gansai Tambi Watercolor using water brush, then added some white & green ink splatters. 3) Stamped the sentiment at the bottom right hand corner of the stamped panel in pigment black ink. 4) Mounted the panel on A2 white card base using double-sided tape. 5) Embellished with a few PPP clear sequins.

MFT March Release Replay

Hello crafty friends, welcome to the My Favorite Things March Release Replay Challenge!

We love the opportunity to look at our products with fresh eyes, envisioning entirely new ways to showcase the possibilities they present. We can’t wait to share our ideas with you!

I made a fun card using a newly released Sweet Succulents along with Cat-itude stamp set.
YoonsunHur-MFT-MarchRR-001For my card today, I was inspired by my friend’s kitty “Miru”. She really likes all kinds of succulents, lol!!

To create this card, I 1) Die cut a piece of white card stock using A2 sized stitched rectangle die in the Blueprints 25 Die-namics. 2) Stamped Geometric Grid Background onto the stitched rectangle panel using Natural hybrid ink. 3) Stamped the succulents from Sweet Succulents set, cat from Cat-itude set on a separate watercolour paper using pigment black ink, coloured them with Peerless watercolours, then die cut succulents using Sweet Succulents Die-namics, cat using Cat-itude Die-namics. 4) Tied some white threads around each succulent die cut – white threads represent the cat hair. 5) Mounted all elements as shown to A2 white card base using dimensional foam tape. 6) Embellished with a few PPP sequins.

Whimsy Stamps March Release Day 1

Hello crafty friends, welcome to the debut release of Whimsy Stamps newest artist/illustrator Nina-Marie Trapani!!
Whimsy-Title-BannerNina-Marie has created 4 new clear stamp sets and 2 new Shapeology crafting dies to complement the stamp sets. Each day this week Whimsy Stamps design team and special guests will be sharing the new products and then on Friday, March 11th you will be able to purchase them from the Whimsy Stamps Shop. Oh, I am so excited to be a guest designer at Whimsy Stamps this month.

Today all Whimsy Stamps design team and special guests are sharing with you a new Sketched Elephants and coordinating dies.

Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20160307-Whimsy-001To create this card, I stamped the elephant, cone hat, and balloon from Sketched Elephants set onto watercolour paper using Antique Linen Distress ink, coloured them with Distress markers and then die cut them using coordinating dies. For the shaker panel, I die cut a piece of white card stock using MFT A2 sized stitched rectangle die in the Blueprints 25 Die-namics, then also die cut a semicircle window at the centre of the panel using PPP Window Frames dies. Inside the shaker window, I used PPP Iridescent Mini Star Confetti. I mounted all elements as shown to A2 white card base using dimensional foam tape and then embellished with Hemptique Taffy Hemp Cord and a few PPP clear sequins.

SSS Spring Plush – Flower basket

Hello crafty friends, I hope you had a wonderful weekend!
Today I want to share with you a couple cards that I’ve made using SSS Spring Plush Exclusives. SSS-Spring Plush-Banner
SSS-FeltCreating something using felt sheets is a very new to me, even I wasn’t interested in hand stitching before. But I guess I changed my mind!! I’ve had so much fun with plush dies and felt sheets over the last weekend!
YoonsunHur-20160307-SSS-A001For this, I was totally inspired by so talented Wanda Guess. I love making floral themed cards and Wanda’s beautiful felt pin fixed my attention!!

To create this card, I die cut flowers and leaves from assorted SSS wool felt sheets using Swirl Flowers and Leaves and Button Egg plush dies. And then I stitched them (as shown to the picture) using Hemptique Earthy Natural Hemp Cord. For the swirl pattern panel, I die cut a piece of white card stock using Stitches Squares die, then die cut from the panel using Stitched Whirl Background die. I then inked the edge of the panel with Antique Linen Distress ink using mini blending tool. I mounted all elements as shown to white square card base using double-sided tape, then embellished with a few PPP clear droplets.

YoonsunHur-20160307-SSS-B001For my second card, I made the same flower basket as the first card but using papers. I die cut flowers and leaves from SSS card stocks – I used Lemon Chiffon card stock for basket and Schoolhouse Red, Sunshine, Cotton Candy, Burnt Orange for flowers and Green Apple, Mint for leaves.
