TCC #32 – Colours

Happy Wednesday everyone! Here we are again with a new challenge at The Card Concept!
Here is what I came up with:
When I saw the colours, I wanted to colour the hairband -yummy strawberries- in her -beautiful bloom girl ‘Summer’- hair!

To create my card:
1)I stamped Prima Marketing Flowers SUMMER Bloom on the watercolour panel using VersaFine Pigment Ink Onyx Black and stamped strawberries, bee, blossoms to another watercolour paper in black pigment ink as well. 2)I coloured them with Distress inks & markers -hair: Distress Ink Pumice Stone / face: Tattered Rose, Spun Sugar / lip: Festive Berries / hairband: Festive Berries, Barn Door, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, Shabby Shutters, Peacock Feathers, Pine Needles, Peeled Paint, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain, Gathered Twigs / bee: Mustard Seed. 3)I used Ranger Liquid Pearls Bisque for colouring blossoms. 4)Watercoloured panel have dried up, I mounted it on the white cardstock and then positioned strawberries, bee, blossoms on the watercoloured panel, adhered them in place using dimensional foam tape. 4)Lastly, I die cut the ‘LOVE’ sentiment banner among MFT LLD Accent It Celebrate from the red glitter paper, adhered it to the bottom. 5)Mixed clear sequins were the finishing touches.

Let’s see what the rest of the design team has come up with:

winnerbadgeOH. MY. GOODNESS… I am SO happy about it. Thank you so much CASE Study team!! XOXO

Hello folks,
My card today has been inspired by Jennifer McGuire’s beautiful watercolour flower card in the Case Study 4th Anniversary blog hop.

081214-Flowers2-Jennifer-McGuire-InkWOW!!!!! (Do I need to say more?)

And… here’s my take on her card:
20140820-01Recently I bought several Prima Marketing Bloom girls and I thought JOY Bloom Girl stamp was good for following Jen’s pearlised watercolouring! At first, I stamped it onto the watercolour paper using black pigment ink and did watercolouring. I heat embossed the flowers in white separately and then painted them using bluish distress inks with liquid pearls. I then affixed pearlised painted flowers onto the watercolour panel using foam adhesive for 3D dimensions.

20140820-02Isn’t she beautiful? I had so much fun!!

Big congrats on the 4th Anniversary!!!
