Neat and Tangled: Merry & Bright

Hello crafty friends, TGIF!
I am guest designing with Neat and Tangled this month. I am so happy to be a part of this amazing company once again!!

Today I want to share with you my fun Christmas card with so adorable Beary Merry Stamp Set and the Merry and Bright Nice and Neat Die.

Here is what I came up with:
I started by stamping cute polar bear and candy cane from the Beary Merry set on watercolour paper using VersaFine Onyx Black pigment ink. I then watercoloured and fussy cut them. You can use the matching dies to cut stamped images. It is so much easier than use scissors. ;)
For the snowy night background, I ink blended on watercolour paper panel with Mermaid Lagoon, Faded Jean, Seedless Preserves, Black Soot Distress inks and mini blending tool, and then added white ink splatters all around the panel. For the sentiment, I die cut the word “Merry & Bright” from white card stock fine times, and then stacked them up using glue pen.
Once the panel was completely dry, I mounted it on white card base using double-sided tape first, and then added the sentiment die cut and the polar bear holding a candy cane on the card front using foam tape.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful weekend!!

Keep smiling and be blessed! God bless you all!

Neat and Tangled – Sentiments

Hello crafty friends, TGIF!
I am on the Neat and Tangled blog today sharing 2 cards I made with my favourite sentiment stamps from Neat and Tangled.

My first card here:
YoonsunHur-20150410-NAT-01So very blessed! What an amazing word!! I love this stamp SO much!

For my first card today, I made my own pattern background with the small flowers from the set. 1)I randomly stamped flowers on the purple cardstock using VersaMark Embossing ink and clear heat embossed. 2)For the sentiment panel, I stamped this beautiful handwritten sentiment with VersaMark Embossing ink, gold heat embossed. I then used distress inks –Mustard Seed, Dried Marigold, Picked Raspberry– to add colour the around the sentiment. 3)I mounted the sentiment panel on the card using dimensional foam tape. 4)Machine stitches and some sequins were the finishing touches.

And another card from me:
YoonsunHur-20150410-NAT-02I loooove Danielle’s gorgeous handwritten sentiments. Seriously! And YES! my dear crafty friends, you are my most favourite :D

Like the first card, I made my own pattern background with the small flowers from Dala Horse stamp set. 1)I stamped the small flowers on the watercolour panel using grey pigment ink here and there. Once dry, I coloured the centre of the stamped panel with Peerless watercolours. 2)For the sentiment, I stamped it with VersaMark Embossing ink, heat embossed with Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder and then fussy cut it. 3)I mounted the stamped panel on the lime green cardstock first and then affixed the sentiment in the middle of the stamped panel using dimensional foam tape. 4)Mixed enamel dots were the finishing touches.

That’s it for today. Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!!

Today, I want to show you my 2 cards with March released Dala Horse Stamp Set. Oh my… I am so in love with the set that Miriam designed. Seriously, it is so very beautiful stamp set!!

My first card here:
YoonsunHur-20150401-NeatandTangled01To create the card:

My second card with the set:
YoonsunHur-20150401-NeatandTangled04For this card, I used matching die with the stamp set. The size of the Dala Horse die is a perfect as a focal point in card.

To create the card:
1)I drew the pencil line on the watercolour paper a bit bigger than actual size of the largest Dala horse die and then blended with Distress ink Peacock Feathers, Stormy Sky using mini blending tool. 2)Once completely dry, I randomly stamped mini blossoms using VersaMark Embossing ink and white heat embossed. 3)I spritzed a bit of fresh water on the stamped image for getting watercolour stains, dry it using heat tool and then die cut the Dala horse from the stamped paper. 4)For the background panel, I stamped mini blossoms on the white cardstock with grey pigment ink here and there and watercoloured in the middle of the stamped panel with Distress ink Mustard Seed using paint brush. 5)Using vellum paper, I covered whole area of the stamped background and machine stitched on the top, mounted it to the yellow cardstock. 6)To finish it off, I positioned the Dala horse, sentiment banner on the custom background panel, adhered them in place using dimensional foam tape, added mixed clear sequins.

YoonsunHur-20150401-NeatandTangled05I had a great time with this beautiful stamp & die set!

That’s it for today. Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful weekend!!
