Pretty Pink Posh March Release Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends, welcome to the Pretty Pink Posh March Product Release Blog Hop! You should have arrived from so talented Julia Altermann.
PPP-March2016bloghopIn March, Pretty Pink Posh released so pretty and versatile Scallop Circles and Scallop Ovals dies along with oh-so-cute Birdie Friends stamp set.
YoonsunHur-20160310-PPP-BlogHop-A001For my first card, I made a watercolour card with a newly released Birdie Friends stamp set. First I 1) Stamped the scene from Birdie Friends set onto watercolour paper panel using Antique Linen Distress ink, clouds from Rainy Days set in Tumbled Glass Distress ink. 2) Coloured the chicks, banner, and tree with Distress markers and then grass & sky with Gansai Tambi Watercolor. 3) Stamped the notes from Winter Friends set on the panel using VersaFine Pigment Ink Vintage Sepia. 4) Tied natural bamboo cord on top of the panel. 5) Mounted the panel on A2 white card base using dimensional foam tape. 6) Embellished with a few PPP clear sequins.

YoonsunHur-20160310-PPP-BlogHop-001For my second card, I made a shaker card. For the background I stamped tiny images from Birdie Friends set on white card base using SSS Fog Gray dye ink. For the shaker window, I used a new Scallop Circles dies – PPP Scallop Circles make my card so adorable!!

  1. The banner with the “Hugs to you” and the musical notes makes your first card so happy. I love how you made the background for the second card.

  2. OMG!! I love the sweet scene you created on your first card!! I also really love the mostly white color on your second one…I love that stamped background…just awesome!!

  3. I am a huge fan of shaker cards and yours is so sweet! I really like how you used the smaller stamps to create your own background on this card. Thank you for sharing with us!

  4. You just keep on creating such wonderful, unique cards. I love the light grey background stamping on the shaker card.

  5. Both of these cards are wonderful. The design works so well to showcase these amazing new stamps and dies from Pretty Pink Posh!! <3

  6. Love these cards. My favorite of the two was the second card with its very unique background stamped almost tone on tone with tiny little stamps from the chick set. I found the card almost elegant for its lack of all kinds of bright colours like the others. I love that it looked like a lovely little family of birdies. I think with its more muted and elegant looking background, the pretty and elegant sequins, and this lovely family of birds, that it could make a lovely little anniversary cards.

  7. Didn’t think those Birdies were for me but after seeing everyone’s beautiful cards, I need them. Your watercoloring is fabulous and live the scenes you created.

  8. Your watercoloring is terrific! I love the look of that first card. And the way you made the larger chicks into a mom and dad just by giving one rosy cheeks is so clever! Love your cards!

  9. Saw this on your IG acct and loved “Music to my ears” journal cover!! Such a precious scene!!!! And the second card with the handmade background is so adorable too! Always love seeing your fabulous work, Yoonsun!
